"Gethsemane"
Where
Shepherds
Bleed

Gethsemane
A garden at the foot of
The
Mount
Of Olives. The name seems to be formed from
Gath, a press, and
Shemen, oil; probably the place where the produce of
The
Mount
Of Olives was prepared for use. The garden of the oilpress, or olive-press.
a garden, or retired spot, on the west side of
The
Mount
Of Olives, not far from the brook
Cedron.
That is, the valley of fatness. The garden probably had its name from its soil and situation, laying in some little valley between two of those many hills, the range of which constitutes the mount of Olives.
He who made atonement for the sins of mankind, submitted himself in a garden of suffering, to the will of God, from which man had revolted in a garden of pleasure. Christ took with him into that part of the garden where he suffered his agony, only those who had witnessed his glory in his transfiguration. Those are best prepared to suffer with Christ, who have by faith beheld his glory. The words used denote the most entire dejection, amazement, anguish, and horror of mind; the state of one surrounded with sorrows, overwhelmed with miseries, and almost swallowed up with terror and dismay. He now began to be sorrowful, and never ceased to be so till he said, It is finished. He prayed that, if possible, the cup might pass from him. But he also showed his perfect readiness to bear the load of his sufferings; he was willing to submit to all for our redemption and salvation. According to this example of Christ, we must drink of the bitterest cup which God puts into our hands; though nature struggle, it must submit. It should be more our care to get troubles sanctified, and our hearts satisfied under them, than to get them taken away. It is well for us that our
Salvation is in the hand of One who neither slumbers nor sleeps. All are tempted, but we should be much afraid of entering into temptation. To be secured from this, we should watch and pray, and continually look unto the Lord to hold us up that we may be safe. Doubtless our Lord had a clear and full view of the sufferings he was to endure, yet he spoke with the greatest calmness till this time. Christ was a Surety, who undertook to be answerable for our sins. Accordingly he was made sin for us, and suffered for our sins, the Just for the unjust; and Scripture ascribes his heaviest sufferings to the hand of God. He had full knowledge of the infinite evil of sin, and of the immense extent of that guilt for which he was to atone; with awful views of the Divine justice and holiness, and the punishment deserved by the sins of men, such as no tongue can express, or mind conceive. At the same time, Christ suffered being tempted; probably horrible thoughts were suggested by Satan that tended to gloom and every dreadful conclusion: these would be the more hard to bear from his perfect holiness. And did the load of imputed guilt so weigh down the soul of Him of whom it is said, He upholdeth all things by the word of his power? into what misery then must those sink whose sins are left upon their own heads! How will those escape who neglect so great salvation?
============
Mat.
26:36-38;
36 ¶ Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
37 And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
38 Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.
Luke
22:41-44
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone's cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Heb.
5:7
7 Who in the days of
His flesh, when
He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto
HIM
that was able to save
Him from death, and was heard in that
He feared;
John
12:23-28
And
Jesus
answered
them,
saying,
The
hour
is
come,
that
the
Son
of
man
should
be
glorified.
Verily,
verily,
I
say
unto
you,
Except
a
corn
of
wheat
fall
into
the
ground
and
die,
it
abideth
alone;
but
if
it
die,
it
bringeth
forth
much
fruit.
He
that
loveth
his
life
shall
lose
it;
and
he
that
hateth
his
life
in
this
world
shall
keep
it
unto
life
eternal.
If
any
man
serve
Me,
let
him
follow
Me;
and
where
I
AM,
there
shall
also
My
servant
be:
if
any
man
serve
Me,
him
will
My
Father
honour.
Now
is
My
soul
troubled;
and
what
shall
I
say?
Father,
save
Me
from
this
hour:
but
for
this
cause
came
I
unto
this
hour.
Father,
glorify
THY
NAME.
Then
came
there
a
voice
from
Heaven,
saying,
I
have
both
Glorified
It,
and
will
Glorify
It
Again.
Gloryify
THY
NAME,
The
meaning
of
this
expression
in
this
connection
is
this:
"I
AM
willing
to
bear
any
trials;
I
will
not
shrink
from
any
sufferings.
Let
THY
NAME
be
Honoured.
Let
THY
CHARACTER,
WISDOM,
GOODNESS,
AND
PLANS
OF
MERCY
BE
MANIFESTED
AND
PROMOTED,
WHATEVER
SUFFERINGS
IT
may
cost
me.
"Thus
Jesus
showed
us
that
GOD,
THE
FATHER'S
GLORY
is
to
be
"The
Great
End
of
our
conduct",
and
that
we
are
to
seek
that,
whatever
sufferings
it
may
cost
us,
I
have
both
glorified
it.
There
can
be
no
doubt
that
when
Jesus
says
here
that
he
had
glorified
"THE
FATHERS
NAME",
He
refers
to
what
had
been
done
"In
The
Garden"
and
that
this
was
to
be
understood
as
an
attestation
that
he
attended
HIM
and
approved
His
work.
Are
you
ready
to
allow
"THE
FATHER",
to
be
Glorified
in
you?
Are
you
ready
to
die
to
all
things:
Are
you
willing
to
say
to
"THE
FATHER",
as
Jesus
did
setting
the
first
example
to
us,
I
AM
willing
to
bear
any
and
all
trials
that
YOU
FATHER
desire
for
my
walk
in
YOU
regardless
of
the
loss
on
your
behalf,
your
family,
your
friends
thoughts
of
you,
those
set
in
the
Body?
Are
you
willing
to
surrender
all
that
you
are,
all
that
you
possess
to
HIM
right
now?
Many
are
in
this
place
being
ripped
apart
and
do
not
know
that
they
have
been
in
"The
Garden
Of
Gethsemane,
where
their
decision
must
be
made
in
order
to
be
released
by
HIM,
being
pressed
and
pouring
out
there
flesh,
bleeding
and
cutting
covenant
with
"THE
FATHER",
being
separated
from
self
and
becoming
Like
HIM
for
the
next
level
in
the
Kingdom
and
the
work
that
was
assigned
to
you
to
do.
In
Mat.
26:36-38;
Jesus
speaks
of
being
in
sorrow
it
is
liken
unto
no
other
sorrow,
you
actually
want
to
die
to
make
the
birth
pains
stop,
to
enter
into
Peace
but
this
is
only
the
first
stage
of
the
Process,
There
are
3
Parts
to
this
process;
1.
The
dyeing
to
self,
where
the
flesh
and
the
spirit
war
against
each
other
(1Ti 1:18,
Jas 4:1,
Gal.
5:17,
Rom.
7:23),
the
person
enters
into
3,
The
Spirit,
The
Body/Flesh
and
The
Soul,
here
is
where
The
Soul
and
The
Body
must
die
and
the
winner
then
becomes
one
flesh,
The
two
become
one
flesh.
(Mr. 10:8,
Eph. 2:15,
1Cor. 6:16) 2.
The
shedding
of
skin
in
order
to
put
on
Spirit,
transformed
into
Christ
Jesus
becoming
One
with
HIM.
(Heb 9:22,
Eph 2:15) 3.
The
Planting
of
that
which
had
fallen,
the
before
state,
we
are
considered
as
the
1st
Adam,
doing
our
wills,
yet
given
the
opportunity
to
change
our
will
into
HIS
WILL.
The
second
Adam
(Jesus)
who
dies
to
self
in
this
place
by
"Confessing"
Father
not
my
will,
but
THY
Will
be
done
is
then
transformed
into
Spirit
from
the
Earthly
things.
That
which
dies
must
then
be
planted
in
order
for
it
to
spring
forth
and
become
"New",
a
"New
Creation",
a
"New
Vine"
grafted
into
and
made
as
"ONE"
with
the
Trinity.
Seed
after
its
"OWN
KIND"
"HOLY
SEEDS",
through
the
death
of
ones
flesh
comes
the
Resurrection
into
Life
Eternal
and
the
ability
to
see
the
manifestations
working
on
and
in
that
one
who
allow
HIM
to
have
HIS
Perfect
Will
be
done
in
them.
After
this
process
of
pressing
and
separation,
in
the
Spirit
Realm,
by
which
all
of
this
has
taken
place
prior
to
the
actual
walking
out
the
process
in
the
natural
we
know
that
nothing
just
happens,
all
things
are
first
born
of
Spirit
and
then
walked
out
or
played
out
in
the
flesh,
lived
out
in
the
natural,
hence,
we
must
walk
out
and
feel
the
actual
pains
of
what
was
done
in
the
Supernatural/Spirit
Realm
concerning
us
and
our
cup
that
we
must
drink
and
the
pains
we
must
bear
for
the
work
that
was
given
to
us
to
do,
consider
it
your
personal
assignment,
and
you
must
do
it
in
order
to
be
Like
HIM.
That
which
is
born
of
Spirit
is
now
birth
in
Flesh
to
walk
out
the
true
pains
and
birthing
through
the
flesh,
which
was
spoken
by
the
Spirit
of
GOD
as
Jesus
also
did
in
this
Place
Called
Gethsemane.

We
see;
1.
Flesh
now
has
to
act
out
that
which
was
born
in
Spirit
through
confession,
the
giving
over
to
GOD'S
WILL
by
the
carrying
of
the
pressures
into
the
Nations
on
its
shoulders.
To
bear
HIS
BURDEN.
2.
We
see
the
Flesh
wanting
to
have
someone
like
its
self
to
reflect
on
or
too,
as
Jesus
did
by
going
to
see
what
the
Disciples
where
doing
after
He
had
requested
them
to
pray
HIM
through
and
found
them
sleep,
although
Jesus
found
them
not
keeping
watch,
He
also
realized
that
His
Place
in
them
was
to
lead
and
teach
as
Shepherd
not
as
follower
with
them
separated
from
them
yet
one
with
them
as
with
the
Father
that
thru
His
dyeing
these
as
well
as
others
to
follow
would
be
grafted
into
these
Heavenly
Bodies
as
He
now
was.
We
see
this
happening
(3)
Three
times
and
on
the
third
time
Jesus
then
realizing
that
He
had
just
struggled
with
this
same
issue
within
the
Garden
in
His
own
Flesh
when
He
asked
the
FATHER
to
let
this
cup
pass
HIM,
that
the
FATHERS
WILL,
must
be
done
through
Him
the
Second
Adam.
Jesus
makes
the
statement
to
them
after
being
angry
in
finding
them
asleep
on
the
third
time
"The
Spirit
is
willing,
but
the
Flesh
is
week"
it
is
easier
for
us
to
fall
to
sleep
then
to
face
the
pressings.
(Matt.
26:41-45),
in
this
Jesus
forgave
them
for
sleeping
during
their
watch
and
His
request
to
them
that
they
should
pray
for
HIM,
but
had
fallen
to
sleep.
3.
We
see
Jesus,
leaving
Gethsemane,
and
pressing
onward
to
the
next
phase
to
actually
allow
His
Flesh
to
be
killed
that
The
Spirit
should
come
forth
in
Resurrection
Power.
He
says,
"No
man
takes
My
life,
for
I
lay
it
down"
and
if
I
lay
it
down,
I
will
pick
it
up
again.
(John
2:19-22).
4.
He
was
arrested
and
charged
for
crimes
that
He
had
not
done,
stoned,
talked
about,
made
homeless,
lied
on,
raped,
whipped,
traded
back
and
forth
between
two
world
masters
of
flesh
that
where
led
by
Satan,
sentenced
to
death
with
the
decree
to
carry
HIS
own
cross
where
HE
would
be
nailed
to
the
things
that
He
was
dyeing
for,
A
Nation
without
knowledge
of
HIM
being
"Son
Of
God"
Spirit.
Until
Jesus
was
nailed
on
the
Cross
and
died,
He
was
"Son
Of
Man"
Flesh
and
Blood.
Man,
meaning
"Of
Flesh"
but
with
power
(Ps.
82:6-7,
John
10:34),
when
Jesus
was
nailed
to
the
cross
and
died
He
became
"Son
Of
God",
meaning
total
Power,
Resurrection
Power
of
Life
and
of
Death
was
given
back
to
Him
as
GOD,
to
all
that
lived
inside
of
the
Flesh
as
well
as
Life
to
those
bound
by
The
Law
and
those
coming
into
His
Grace
through
the
death
on
the
cross.
He
was
made
Lord
over
the
(3)
three
Worlds,
in
Heaven,
In
Hell
as
well
as
in
Earth.
He
was
nailed
with
(3)
nails,
one
in
each
arm
close
to
His
hands
as
well
as
the
one
that
pierced
through
the
both
of
His
Feet,
these
three
nails
represented
the
Trinity,
the
(3)
in
one
oils,
between
He
and
The
FATHER,
He
as
the
Son
of
Man,
and
He
with
the
HolyGhost
Son
Of
God,
the
grafting
into
with
us,
God
with
us.
All
being
made
One
again
in
Spirit.
The
spear
in
His
side
"The
added
to
Part"
brought
from
another
source
but
still
present
was
us,
that
piercing
was
us
being
grafted
into
HIM
that
he
should
bleed
for
the
Sheep,
even
as
the
First
Adams
side
was
pierced
to
bring
forth
Eve
"The
Mother
Of
All
Living",
(Gen.
3:20),
the
Second
Adams
side
was
also
pierced
to
bring
forth
"The
Nations"
from
within
Himself,
us.
Where
GOD
opened
up
the
side
of
the
First
Adam
after
He
was
put
to
sleep,
GOD
also
allowed
Jesus
side
to
be
opened
up
that
we
would
pass
through
HIM.
He
also
did
not
allowed
Jesus
to
be
put
to
sleep
during
this
process
and
it
was
for
this
reason;
the
First
Adam
was
put
to
sleep
for
there
was
no
sin
found
in
him.
Keep
in
mind
that
until
the
first
Adam
sinned
there
was
no
pains
of
birth,
just
the
spoken
Word,
the
Rhema
of
God
spoken
by
man
and
produced
without
cost,
but
once
the
First
Adam
ate
that
which
was
not
his
to
eat
it
caused
the
tribulations
of
man
and
the
separating
of
man
from
God
(Ps.48:6,Gen.3:16,)
now
the
Second
Adam
took
on
the
sins
of
the
world
on
his
shoulders
and
it
was
needful
that
He
should
experience
the
pains
of
the
womb
in
birth
as
we
do
for
all
of
us
those
present
and
those
to
come
in
the
future.
HIS
BLOOD,
was
then
poured
out
for
the
remissions
of
our
sins
that
He
took
on
in
the
Garden
prior
to
purifications
of
sins
His
Blood
mixed
with
Water,
The
Holyghost.
In
The
Old
Testament,
"The
Term"
to
die
means
to
burry
and
to
burry
means
to
plant
seed,
when
Jesus
died
in
the
Garden
of
Gethsemane,
He
planted
"Supernatural
Seeds"
us
prior
to
going
to
the
cross,
when
His
Blood
and
Water
mixed
with
the
very
Earth
at
the
time
of
His
hanging
on
the
cross
we
where
then
reestablished
again
as
the
Father's
first
plan
was
with
the
first
(1st
Adam)
the
Original
Covenant
that
was
set
between
God
and
man
in
the
Garden
of
Eden,
we
see
that
their
where
2
(Two)
Gardens,
the
Beginning
Garden,
The
Garden
of
Eden,
that
which
was
already
established,
already
Clean,
already
set
apart
and
set
right
before
God,
until
sin
entered
into
(Satan)
we
see
him
coming
as
a serpent
liken
unto
a
spear
as
with
the
second
Adam
Jesus,
for
the
piercing
into
the
side
of
the
First
Adam
where
God
took
Eve
from
where
divisions
and
self
will
came
or
stemmed
from.
The
very
side
of
The
first
(1)
Adam
was
opened
to
bring
forth
Gods
planting
of
woman
"life"
as
he
laid
on
the
Earth
and
the
Blood
of
man
and
the
Spirit
of
God
became
one
with
woman
"Eve"
grafted
into
with
man
this
was
holy
ground,
and
sin
could
not
be
apart
of
it
or
enter
into
without
someone
to
come
into
agreement
with
it
hence,
we
see
Adam
refusing
to
drink
from
his
cup
by
drinking
of
the
unclean
things
when
he
ate
from
the
Tree
of
Knowledge
which
breached
the
womb
of
God
and
caused
a
massive
hemorrhage
between
the
two
blood
lines,
please
remember
that
the
term
"To
Plant",
means
to
die,
which
means
to
bring
forth
liken
unto
ones
self.
Therefore
Satan
was
given
legal
rights
to
the
rights
of
man
in
this
Garden
and
was
forced
out
as
he
was
also
forced
out
in
Heaven
again
we
see
a
repeat
of
what
happened
in
Spirit,
also
happening
in
the
natural.
Satan
was
kicked
out
of
Heaven
for
trying
to
take
over
and
assume
God's
Throne,
(Isa.
14)
he
then
attempted
to
do
the
same
thing
within
the
Garden
of
Eden
between
God's
chosen
the
first
Adam,
attempting
to
sit
on
our
throne
here
on
this
earth
and
he
did,
because
the
First
Adam
gave
him
rights
to
it
by
eating
that
which
was
unclean,
the
piercing
in
his
side
and
the
mingling
of
the
bloods,
produced
another
marriage
that
did
not
include
God
nor
His
Will
for
man
in
this
Earth.

We
then
see
"The
Garden
Of
Gethsemane
that
was
already
corrupted
by
sin
because
it
was
already
of
the
natural
and
in
the
natural
realm
yet
Jesus
had
to
go
into
this
place
to
bleed
and
take
back
the
original
covenant
that
was
between
God
the
Father
and
man,
we
see
the
Second
(2nd)
Adam
Jesus,
cleansing
us,
Gethsemane
was
us
a
crushing
and
bruised
place,
a separating
place,
a
place
of
Death
for
Jesus
to
bring
the
Rebirth
of
man
back
unto
the
Sheep
fold.
He
came
to
set
right
that
which
was
wronged
in
the
first
Garden
Eden
and
He
set
it
right
in
Spirit
in
this
Garden
called
Gethsemane
by
sacrificing
Himself.
Understand
that
Jesus
died
here
in
Gethsemane
first,
and
then
walked
out
the
natural
death
on
Calvary.
His
Blood
was
shed
for
the
purifications
of
our
sins,
The
Baptizing
of
that
which
was
unholy
into
holy,
which
then
fell
to
the
ground
to
show
the
planting
of
the
"Sheepfold",
reclaimed
back
into
the
Kingdom
Of
God,
The
planting
of
the
"New
Jerusalem,
it
was
our
In
The
Beginning
with
HIM
restored
once
more
that
would
come,
spring
forth
from
His
Death
thru
His
Life
transformation.
The
Ground
cracked
open
to
receive
the
great
harvest
that
he
had
and
was
planting
(us)
upon
speaking
the
words;
"It
Is
Finished"!
Paul
states
by
the
unction
of
the
HolyGhost;
I
have
completed
my
course,
and
I
have
finished
the
race.
Jesus
planted
all
that
would
come
then
and
after
His
Death
from
Son
Of
Man,
to
Son
Of
God,
Religious
veils
where
ripped
apart
from
the
top
to
the
bottom
to
show
that
Jesus
had
in
fact
torn
down
all
Temples
that
where
not
of
Our
Father's
Will
and
they
would
be
rebuilt
again
after
3
days.
All
man
made
things
concerning
the
Fathers
Will
was
ripped
down,
destroyed
all
buildings
that
where
not
lined
up
with
the
True
And
Living
God's
Will
were
demolished,
not
just
in
the
natural,
but
first
in
Spirit,
this
process
is
still
being
used
by
God
up
into
this
very
day
and
will
continue
to
be
used
by
HIM
to
weed
out
the
wheat
from
the
tear.

Now
we
see
Jesus,
Religion
was
put
away
with,
no
more
and
powerless
concerning
God's
Will
for
His
Created
people,
by
which
Jesus
says;
"Oh
Death
Where
Art
Thou
Sting?"
(I
Cor.
15:55),
meaning,
He
put
to
death
all
lies
and
reestablished
the
"Truth"
through
His
dieing
on
the
cross.
The
ripping
of
the
Vail's
caused
a
Title
Wave
of
the
HolyGhost
that
tore
down
all
alters,
places,
hardness
of
hearts,
stiff
neckness,
from
the
pulpits
of
man
and
throughout
the
entire
lands,
Congregations,
right
up
and
into
the
inner
bowls
of
hell
where
He
descended
to
take
back
that
which
was
lost
to
God
the
Father
in
the
first
Adam.
Now
the
Second
Adam
Jesus,
choose
to
do
the
Fathers
total
Will
and
not
His
Will.
Those
who
where
held
in
captivity
where
no
longer
held
and
there
where
no
more
legal
captives.
Jesus
took
all
out
that
were
there
and
sealed
up
the
works
of
the
laws
of
Satan
that
had
been
established
by
the
First
Adam
and
returned
it
back
into
the
rightful
owners
hands,
"The
Kingdom
of
God
as
his
Dear
Son
(Heb.2:9-18).
It
is
my
intentions
that
all
that
are
in
this
place
of
empting
out
and
are
not
aware
of
it,
that
this
writing
will
open
up
new
doors
about
where
you
are
in
HIM
and
what
is
going
on
with
you
and
your
walk
with
HIM.
It
is
important
to
know
where
we
are
in
Jesus,
what
place
or
position
we
are
in
with
HIM,
and
I
am
led
to
know
by
the
HolySpirit
that
many
needed
and
had
been
seeking
HIM
to
know
what
was
wrong
with
them
or
why
was
the
burden
on
their
life
so
intense.
I
pray
that
this
writing
has
opened
up
a
new
or
new
revelations
that
you
are
now
able
to
receive
and
know
the
power
of
HIM
in
Jesus
name,
God
Bless
you
and
remember
in
order
to
drink
of
the
good
wine,
the
wine
must
first
be
made
and
tested
prior
to
the
marriage
ceremony
and
the
drinking
of
that
wine,
The
Drinking
Of
His
Cup,
will
transform
you
into
new
vines
and
His
Wine in
you
will
produce
His
marriage
to
you,
let
Him
pour
you
out
that
others
may
partake
of
the
new
wine,
new
anointing
in
your
life.
Blessings
to
you
always
