The
Deep Things of God

Corinthians 2:9-11 NIV
"However, as it is written:
"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no
mind has conceived what God has prepared for
those who love him"- but God has revealed
it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit
searches all things, even the deep things of
God. For who among men knows the
thoughts of a man except the man's spirit
within him? In the same way no one knows
the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God."
God
reveals to our understanding the needs and
desires that He has already made provision
for. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to
reveal the treasures of wisdom and knowledge
that are hidden. That the eyes of our
heart may be enlightened so that we may know
the hope to which God has called us. We
are to be wholly committed to do the tasks
that God has set for us to do. What more
do we need but God's Word as a lamp to our
feet and a light for our path (Psalm 119:105).
There
are so many good things that God has prepared
for us and when we have a need He will meet it
even before we know that we need it. I
know that I am thankful that He wants me to
know what is available to me and that He
equips me for what He has prepared me
for. I'm thankful too, that the Holy
Spirit reveals all things, even the deepest
things of God.
I
hear Him saying to me that He is glad that I
want to know the mysteries that He reveals
only to His beloved children. Aren't you
glad to be called a child of God? He
wants us to enter His presence with
thanksgiving in our hearts as we kneel before
His throne of grace. We can know His
depths so that we can have perfect,
uninterrupted confidence in Him. We can
be secure in Him. (Romans 11:29) "for
God's gifts and his call are
irrevocable." He gives us His
peace. (John 14:27) "Peace I leave
with you; my peace I give to you. I do
not give to you as the world gives. Do not let
your hearts be troubled and do not be
afraid." He has so many wonderful
things for us and they have our names on them.
Listen to His Spirit voice. Receive the
deep truths He offers you. Lay your concerns
at His feet. He is listening. He
hears us, brothers and sisters. He will
provide whatever we are lacking. He will
fill us to the fullest because we are precious
to Him.
Pray this prayer with me: Father God, I want
to know You so very intimately. I want
more than anything to know the secrets of Your
kingdom. I am hungry for Your Word and
Your truth. I trust You completely with
every need and desire. My heart's desire
is to please You so I give You my all. I
no longer own any need or any desire because I
am turning them over to You. I know that
in meeting my needs and fulfilling my deepest
desires and longings, You are putting Your
will on the earth. Fill me with the
knowledge of Your will. Let me glorify
You in the little things as well as the big
ones. Expand my vision until it matches
Yours. You are my light and I no longer
live in darkness. May I always hear Your
spirit voice. I pray this in Christ's
precious Name and for His sake.
