THE FRAGRANCE OF CHRIST
"2 Corinthians 2:14-16 But thanks be to God,
who always leads us in triumphal procession in
Christ and through us spreads everywhere the
fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we
are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are
being saved and those who are perishing. To
the one we are the smell of death; to the other,
the fragrance of life. And who is equal to
such a task?
Isn't
God awesome? He spreads the fragrance of
Jesus everywhere. He also lets the incense,
which is our lives and our prayers, arise as a
sweet fragrance to Him.
"Your name, O LORD, is like perfume poured
out" (Song of Solomon 1:3)
He lets the aroma of Jesus be central to our
victory march. In our parade He is the One
who marches ahead and is victorious. He is
our peace and I'm glad to be His ambassador.
I want to help spread the Word that the King is
coming and the earth is filled with the knowledge
of His glory. He lives in us so that we can
breathe His aroma.
He sends His Holy Spirit to appear in our lives as
fire to burn away all that is temporal and to
purify everything that is of eternal
significance. Let us perform our priestly
service of offering worship by yielding our lives
to Him.
