Last
year I tried my hand
at writing some
poetry. Some were
based on the Psalms,
some on thoughts I
had. They
started out to be my
prayers to my loving
God.

|
Don't Forget
the Benefit
I'm
thankful
for
our
relationship
And
I
must
never
forget
the
benefits.
My
inmost
being
praises
You,
God
You
are
worthy
of
my
worship. |
You,
Who
forgives
and
heals,
You,
Who
redeems
our
Nation, |
| And
Who
understands
our
frustration. |
You
crown
us
with
love
and
compassion,
Our
youth
is
renewed
like
the
eagle's,
Our
desires
are
met
with
satisfaction. |
| You
work
righteousness
and
justice
for
all |
|
And
make
Your
ways
known
with |
|
Your
call. |
I'm
grateful You
are gracious
And
abounding in
love,
What we
deserve is
not heaven
above.
Your
anger is
slow, You
harbor no
grudge,
You will not
accuse
though we
deserve
abuse.
So great is
Your love
for those
who fear,
It's high as
the heavens,
O You are so
dear.
You removed
our
transgressions
far, far
away,
And then You
call us and
ask us to
stay.
You formed
us, dear
Lord,
You know how
we are made.
Your love is
everlasting
and will not
fade,
So when I
feel
defeated and
discouraged,
I remember
who You are
and Who I
am.
I promise to
keep Your
covenant and
obey,
Because with
You forever,
I want to
stay.
I praise
You, Lord,
and bless
Your Name,
May all the
heavenly
hosts do the
same.

Exuberant
Declaration
of Faith
|
O
God,
You
are
my
light
and
my
salvation. |
|
You
are
my
strength. |
|
I
am
determined
not
to
be
fearful. |
|
You
are
with
me. |
| I
want
to
be
in
Your
presence
in
all
ways |
| I
praise
You,
O
Lord,
for
Your
creation; |
| For
the
creativity
I
see
around
me. |
| O
Lord,
hear
me
when
I
cry
out
to
You. |
| Have
mercy
upon
me
and
answer
me. |
| Teach
me
Your
way. |
| My
hope
is
in
Your,
Lord, |
| I
wait
for
your
perfect
timing
and
action. |

God
is Big
|
O Lord God
almighty, El
Shaddai, |
|
Who is like
You? |
|
You are
mighty, O
Lord, |
|
Let me not
break my
rhythm of
praise. |
|
Your
faithfulness
surrounds
You. |
| I
praise You
because You
are
righteous; |
|
I praise You
because You
care; |
|
Let Your
mercy, O
Lord, be
upon us, |
|
just as we
hope in You. |
|
Father, You
are big
enough to
handle |
|
Everything
given to me
each day, |
|
Yet so many
things seem
out of
control. |
| You
are big
enough for
any of my
troubles. |
|
Continue to
show be how
big You are, |
|
Through
Your word
and all it
has to
offer. |

GOD
IS NUMBER ONE!
|
Who is the
judge who
puts down
one? |
|
Who is the
One who
exalts
another? |
|
Of course,
it's God! |
|
Who
allows
people to be
where they
are? |
| Who
is the one
who rebukes
our pride? |
|
That's our
God! |
|
Who
puts people
in places of
leadership? |
|
Who
removes
others from
certain
positions? |
|
Why it's
God! |
|
Who is wise
enough to do
all of this? |
|
No one but
God! |
|
Who gives us
patience, |
|
Who gives us
peace, |
|
God is the
one who does
it all! |
|
He allows
difficult
situations, |
|
He may even
break our
wills, |
|
But who
gives us
grace? |
|
Our God, who
is NUMBER
ONE. |
Lovingly
in Christ,
