My
Testimony
My name is Carole and I live in California with my husband. I enjoy gardening and writing poetry and devotions. I recently began making a scrapbook of my poems for each of my daughters.
I was born a Jew there’s no denying it any more. At one time I felt ashamed because of the name calling.
My mother became a Christian shortly before I married and though I had no idea what it meant I became one through baptism after our daughter was born.
My husband had been raised in a Christian home. We tried our best to attend church, our children went to Sunday School.
Unfortunately we were not obedient and both of us fell away doing things we are ashamed of.
As it often happens, in 1970, before I had my heart surgery, I made a pact with God. You know what I mean. I would do all the things He wanted if I came through the surgery. The surgery was more than successful and I was so glad to be alive again that I just went on my merry way giving no thought to what I had promised. Life was very good. About ten years ago both my husband and I felt the need to begin to attend church regularly and we did faithfully. We both recommitted our lives to Christ when we joined a church close to where we lived.
At the end of our first year of attending church and getting involved, God closed a work door and helped us with the decision to move closer to our daughter and her family. We joined a local church and are still attending.
We have been on an awesome journey and are still moving forward.
About a year later I was asked to be a leader in a world-wide ministry.
I prayed about it a lot because I thought I had nothing to offer.
I hadn’t even done much Bible Study. I remembered the covenant I had made with God so many years ago so I stepped out in faith and said yes, it’s time I begin to serve Him as promised.
We have not looked back except to wonder why God hadn’t called us sooner.
But we know that God always has a purpose for our lives.
I guess being a "Completed Jew" means I am complete in Jesus Christ.
I am no long ashamed to have been born a Jew, in fact I’m proud of my heritage.
My first in depth study was about Israel and the Minor Prophets.
That’s when I learned that the Jews were God’s treasure.
We (my husband & I) have learned to serve Him and trust Him completely with our lives.
We study His Word through Bible Studies. We tithe faithfully.
We both have an intimate relationship with Him, and we are passionately in love with Him.
He is our first love. We’ve been married 53 years and these last ten years that we have been walking together with Him have been the best ever.
But the best is yet to come, spending eternity with our Lord and Savior.
God has watched over us from the very beginning and in His perfect timing He called us to Himself.
My husband’s health has been failing and it’s not pleasant watching him slowly fade.
We both know what lies ahead and have the peace that only Christ can give.
God continues to bless us abundantly day by day and moment by moment.
We have been blessed with 2 wonderful daughters who are married to loving husbands.
God has given us 4 beautiful grandchildren and one grandson-in-love, two precious great granddaughters and soon there will be two more great grandbabies. I hope to have pictures so that you can see my sweet family.
Lovingly in Christ,
Carole
