Because You Are Somebody and God
Loves You
I'm writing this to those of you out there who are
struggling with all sorts of things that are hindering
your walk with God. I know some who think that
because they have sinned and maybe are still sinning
that God does not love them. But He does.
There isn't anything that you could do that would make
Him love you any more or any less than He does right
now. He believes that you are worth His
love. He just wants you to love Him back through
obedience and trust..
Do you believe that God loves you? You, who are
a sinner and does not deserve any of the wonderful
blessings He gives you. But He does love
you. You are His treasured possession. He
created you and you need to know that God does not
make "junk." I know that you have
heard that many times, but have you really believed
it. Psalm 36:5 says that His love reaches to the
heavens, and His faithfulness to the skies. Do
you believe this? I do. As I read the Old
Testament I see so many Scriptures that testify to His
love for me and for you. (Isaiah 41:9-10)
"I took you from the ends of the earth, from its
farthest corners I called you. I said, `You are
my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected
you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not
be dismayed, for I am your God. I will
strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my
righteous right hand." Why do you think He
said that? He loves you and you are
somebody important to Him.
Look at Isaiah 43:2 "When you pass through the
waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through
the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When
you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the
flames will not set you ablaze." Would He
care for you so tenderly if He didn't think you were
worth His love? But you have to appreciate the
way God loves you, the way He created you, the talents
and gifts that He has given to you. YOU ARE
SOMEBODY. If you think that you are not, you are
doubting God. You do have a future, you are
valuable not only to God but to yourself and to others
around you.
Think of what John 3:16 means "For God so loved
the world that he gave his one and only Son, that
whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life." Because of Jesus we have so
much. One Scripture after another gives us His
promises in Christ. (1 Corinthians 1:8-9)
"He will keep you strong to the end, so that you
will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus
Christ. God, who has called you into fellowship
with his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, is faithful."
(1 Corinthians 15:56) " But thanks be to God! He
gives us the victory
through our Lord Jesus Christ."
(2 Corinthians 2:14) "But thanks be to God, who
always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and
through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the
knowledge of him."
(Jeremiah 17:7-8) "But blessed is the man who
trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.
He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends
out its roots by the stream. It does not fear
when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has
no worries in a year of drought and never fails to
bear fruit."
I love Romans because Paul gives us so much hope and
helps us understand how much God loves us in Christ
Jesus. (Romans 8:35) "Who shall separate us from
the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or
persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or
sword?" What more does God need to do to show you
that you are somebody and that He loves you very much.
To God be the Glory, great things He has done.
Lovingly in Christ,
Carole
"The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart
trusts in Him...
My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to Him
in song" (Psalm 28:7)
