The beauty of this season
isn’t lights, or trees, or snow.
Not the elves or tiny reindeer,
nor the presents we bestow.

It’s not a little man so jolly
bringing candy, gifts, and toys.
That’s really not the reason
this season brings us joy.

The true beauty of the season
is the sacrifice God made
To send His Son in human form
to be in a manger laid.

Jesus left the glory of heaven
to come to earth for you and I,
Proving His love by taking our sins
to the cross where He would die.

He stormed the gates and took the keys
of hell to set us free.
He lived and died and rose again –
He did it all for you and me.

Contemplate your life right now –
look for purpose – find the reason.
Then surrender to Jesus and celebrate
the true Beauty of the Season.
