My Lord, I want to thank You
for the many blessings that You send.
But I especially want to thank You
for the blessing of My Friend.

You brought us both full circle
from the time that we first met.
Neither of us ever knowing
that our meeting we would never forget.

A lifetime of circumstances,
of laughter and of tears
Brought us back together
after all these many years.

Now, Lord, I would like to ask You
to bless My Precious Friend.
Grant her peace and happiness
and love that has no end.

Guide us as our friendship grows -
give us wisdom and understanding hearts.
Remind us to point each other to You
and Your Throne, where true friendship starts.

I stand in Your strength and courage -
her very life I will defend.
Lord, in all Your graciousness,
please bless My Life-Long Friend.
