The Encourager
When I’m down and discouraged, there’s a light that comes down,
There are troubles and trials I face day to day,
I open my heart and give my burdens to Him,
My soul is encouraged; there is hope evermore;
Shining brightly within my soul.
It’s a light from the Father in heaven on high,
To make me complete and whole.
That I need God’s strength to come through.
I turn to my Jesus, Who hung on the cross,
Giving His life in love oh so true.
Asking Him to take all my pain.
I fall to my knees and surrender it all –
Only His blood can cover each stain.
Jesus paid the great price just for me.
I look to the day He has promised will come,
When His wonderful face I will see.
