Fifty Years of Love
Time stood still the moment
That you both said, “I do.”
Promising with your whole heart
In everything to be true.
Not knowing what the future held,
You clung to your hopes and dreams.
Sewing the garment of your love
With everlasting seams.
Making God the center of your marriage,
You lived each day as if it were your last.
Remembering to say, “I love you”
Before the special moment past.
Fifty years you’ve been together
With love that grew stronger by the day.
Giving your marriage to the Father –
Joining your hearts together to pray.
Fifty years of love together –
How time flies when you’re having fun!
Glowing with love ever richer –
No longer two, but one.
