A Light In The Window

Our friendship is like a light in the window
On a cold, dark night.
Reaching out with warmth and caring –
So welcoming to the sight.

Shining out through the darkness,
It shows a place of rest and peace.
Where joy is brought to the soul and spirit,
And the heart can find release.

There is a warm and precious feeling
When I see that glowing light,
As our friendship, like the light in the window,
Shines as a beacon in the night.
