Springtime Sowing


While in the springtime of your life,
Sow the seed and watch it grow.
It is the season when the seed
Will send root down deep below.

Choose only seed that will flower
Into blossoms beauty rare.
Sow them closely so the weed seeds
Cannot ever take root there.

Water the seed with faithfulness,
Cultivate with daily prayer,
Allow the Son to shine on you,
Breathe the Spirit's cleansing air.

Then firmly, when the strong winds blow,
Your strong root will fasten sure;
The flower sunk deep in God's Love
Forevermore will endure.
