Peace in the Eye of the Storm



Suddenly from turbulent seas
Storm winds blew quickly o’er,
Destroying my security
Till I could stand no more.

They reached the inland of my heart
To rob me of my peace.
Pounding winds of adversity
Seemed like they’d never cease.

In the midst of the blasting winds
I felt a calm within;
A tranquilizing inner peace
As the storm’s Eye moved in.

There in the center of the storm
God brought tranquility;
Protected by His arms of love,
The storm could not harm me.

God said, "I’m the Eye in ev’ry storm,"
That you will ever face.
You are protected and secure
Surrounded by my grace."
