God Sent Mothers


God sent us the Mothers of the world
Because He needed help with the children,
He needed Mothers with soft skin.
Children need someone who is warm, and nice.
The babies of the world need a soft place to sleep.

Bigger children need a Mom to make cookies
And to put ointment on their skinned knees.
They also need a soft place to lay their heads
When they are tired or broken hearted.
They need a Mom to talk with about things.

Grown children also need a Mother to ask things,
A Mother who is wiser than the wise men
And more crafty than all the "wise guys",
Who give even grown kids many problems.
Grown children also need a "fix it" Mom.

Old children usually don't have a Mother but
They have good memories of that wonderful woman
Who tried to fix marriages and child problems,
And could still make the best chocolate pie in the world.
She is gone now but will never be forgotten.
I love her.
