We at First Baptist Church accept the bible as being historically and scientifically accurate. Our view of the origin of man is of an intelligent design by a Divine Creator. We accept the truth of Genesis chapters one through three as literal. This page is not intended to be exhaustive on the subject of Creation Science. Neither do I claim that any of the evidence or arguments presented here are original. I will provide at the end of this page links to other web sites that can be of help in studying on these matters.

EVOLUTION IS A RELIGION
A radio station announced an upcoming debate between a Darwinist and a Creationist as being a Scientist Vs. a Creationist as if only the Darwinist is being scientific. There is much conjecture on the part of anyone who believes the evolution theory. In my high school Biology class I was told by my instructor that a theory by definition is an “educated guess”. When I first heard this what I thought was “your guess is as good as mine”. One mans interpretation of scientific evidence should not be taught as fact any more than anothers. A theory is not necessary truly scientific the factual evidence is. Evolution is as much a religion as is Creation. Christians believe that God created the universe and the evolutionist believes the universe created itself. Known lies should not be taught to children in public schools but they are being taught. It is not my premise that creation should be taught in state schools but certainly other religious conjectures should not be taught either.

SHOULD LIES BE TAUGHT IN OUR PUBLIC SCHOOLS ?
- - Wisconsin Administrative code states : “Textbooks shall have factual accuracy”
- - Alabama Law states : “Textbooks shall be adequate and current”
- - Texas Law States : “Instructional material shall be factual and theories shall be clearly distinguished from fact”
- - Florida Statute(223.09E) says : “All instructional materials shall be accurate”

None of these states enforce the law when it comes to their textbooks.

A good example of a bad lie is that of the brontosaurus. This lie does not necessarily affect the evolutionist theory itself but it is an example of how the status quo is upheld in education. Brontosaurus is one of the best known dinosaurs to American school children along with T-Rex. It’s too bad that brontosaurus isn’t real and scientists have known it for nearly thirty years. The name Brontosaurus means "Thunder Lizard". The bones that were assembled to reconstruct this dinosaur, were actually from more than one dinosaur. The original body found by a Paleontologist named Othniel Charles Marsh in 1879 was headless so he used the head of the closest dinosaur he could find from a different quarry and a different layer of strata. The head he found was already attached to another body(Camarasaurus). The mistake was fully discovered in 1975 when Dr. Jack McIntosh discovered that the body of the so-called Brontosaurus was actually the body of an Apatosaurus. So the brontosaurus never existed and the head and body are from two different known dinosaurs. Search through the average textbook though and it’s still there. Science or fairytale ?

And what about the lie of Piltdown Man that was taught for generations before being so flagrantly exposed that it had to cease. Piltdown Man was discovered in 1812 by Charles Dawson who was a medical doctor as well as part-time Paleontologist. Dawson found a mandible & a small piece of skull in a gravel pit near Piltdown England. The jawbone was ape-like but the teeth had human characteristics. The skull piece was very much human. These two specimens were combined to form dawn man, which was supposedly 500,000 years old. However, the whole thing turned out to be an elaborate intentional hoax. The skull was indeed human (about 500 years old) but the jaw was that of a modern ape whose teeth had been filed to look like human wear. The success of this hoax for almost 40 years is pretty impressive. However, had the original bones been available for study, this hoax would probably not have continued for as long as it did. It was not until 38 years after the bones had been "found" that the hoax was exposed. In 1953 Kenneth Oakley, Joseph Weiner and Wilfred Le Gros Clark exposed the fact that Piltdown Man was a hoax. The Big Bang Theory
The evolution theory is dependant on a belief in the origin of the universe other than that of a divine creator. The theory of the big bang would today be totally abandoned except that no other prominent theory exists for unbelievers to hold to and Mother Nature forbid that anyone believe in God so they’re stuck with the big bang regardless of how silly it is. Not all who believe in a big bang agree on exactly what was supposed to have happened 4.5 million years ago but they all agree that God had nothing to do with it. It has been suggested that prior to the big bang that all matter that today makes up the universe at that time was compressed into an area the size of a pin head. That every element was present in that space. What a ridiculous idea that all matter at one time was compressed into a small space the size of a period on a page and the theory says that this probably happens every 80 million years or so and a universe is again created. The big bang is the philosophical religious explanation accepted by most Darwinists as the basis for the origin of the universe as a whole including the planets, moons, stars and the sun etc.

A star being created has never been seen. They die or supernova but never has anyone witnessed one being created or born by an evolutionary process. One scientist proposed that when perhaps twenty stars or more supernova at once in a small area this “bang” could create a star. With theories like that it becomes easy to see the error of the idea of a universe creating itself with a big bang. If you believe we have the trillions of stars we have today and that it takes twenty to make one then we are left with the question of which comes first the chicken or the egg and those who believe this theory could perhaps help us with our national debt and budget problems.

Creationists believe that God created the earth. Evolutionists believe that the earth created itself.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE SO-CALLED RACES
The bible does not refer to people as belonging to a race. The word is not used in this fashion. The bible word is kind, which may not sound scientific but it is accurate. And kinds produce after their own kind and no one or no thing ever produced any offspring other than that of their own kind whether it be people or cattle or fish or fowl. Race is a Darwinian prejudice idea.

Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

The bible has answers to life’s most difficult questions. It is a spiritual book but it is also the best science text book ever written. It’s amazing the scientific truths hidden within the spiritual writings. This is so because the author, GOD knows and knew all things scientific.

If i were to ask the average person “How many races are there ?” I would get a lot of different answers.

Spoken before American Association for the Advancement of Science Convention in Atlanta scientists said this “Race is a social concept derived mainly by perceptions conditioned by events of recorded history and has no basic biological reality.”

Biologically there is only one race. All humans are of the same species scientifically homosapiens.

But many christians have been so influenced by evolutionary thinking as to believe that there are many different races.

Some have gone as far as to teach God must have made people at a later time that Genesis. That is unbiblical. God made 1Man & 1Woman !

There was once a man by the name of Ota Benga who was a Pygmy who was taken and put on live display at an American Zoo as an example or evidence of an evolutionary inferior race. This incident itelf shows the racism of evolutionary thinking.
