Conversation In Prayer
Father, I call on You tonight
Hear my sorrow, chase my fright
Lord, I cry with voice so small
Am I anything at all?
Your voice answers, "Yes, my child,
I am meek and I am mild
Come to me and I will soothe,
I will chase that dreary mood."
Lord, I still need to be cleansed
I need so much a loving friend
Is there, is there anywhere
Human beings who will care?
"No, my daughter, on this earth
None can prove to you your worth
Only when you've given up
Can I fill your earthly cup."
Lord, I'm willing in my strife
Take my longings, take my life
Lord, I ask You, now, this day
Let me give my life away.
Anguish, sorrow, tears not fitting
Hurts and scars and real self pity
Listless thoughts, unrest and strain
Human needs that just cause pain
Now I wrap them, bundled tight
To release and end tonight
I surrender, each complete
Lay them all right at Your feet.
Father, as I come tonight
To Your mercy, be my light
My own voice that once was small
Let it shout out, make me tall
Meek and mild, to be like You
There'll be nothing I can't do.
Peace inside and calm without
You are what it's all about
Lord, tonight I give it up
Come and fill Your child, Your cup.

I have given you my Son
Live and love within my will,
With my Spirit you'll be filled.

Father,
For all the sins of my life, I am truly sorry,
dear Lord, because they have offended You,
who are goodness itself. I love You with
all my heart, and with Your help, I will
try never to offend You again. Assist me
to do all that is necessary to obtain
eternal life.
When trials and temptations of this world
press heavily upon my heart, walk beside
me Lord.. and I shall fear no evil.
Have Mercy on me, Lord,
and hear my prayer.
