THE HEART-BEAT OF CHRISTMAS
Have you heard the heart-beat of Christmas
That throbs through the frost-tinged air
In the love of the Angel's message,
To shepards abiding there---
The new joy at the lowly manger
The miracle Child to see?
O' the awe of that sacred moment
Can never forgotten be!
Have you heaard the heart-beat of Christmas
In carols of pure delight
That announced the birth of the Savior
On that holy, momentous night?
If your ear is attuned you'll hear it----
The motion of midnight sky,
The swish of star-studded garments--
The faintest new-infant cry!
Have you heard the heart-beat of Christmas?
It pulsates until today.
No rumble of war can still it
No evil can bid it nay.
Its throb thrills the souls of Christians.
Its rhythm will ever prove
That God, through His Son, our Savior,
Sends hope to His own, with love.

O HOLY NIGHT
Oh holy night!
The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of the dear Savior's birth!
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
Till he appear'd and the soul felt its worth.
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine
Led by the light of Faith serenely beaming
With glowing hearts by His cradle we stand
So led by light of a star sweetly gleaming
Here come the wise men from Orient land
The King of Kings lay thus in lowly manger
In all our trials born to be our friend.
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine
Truly He taught us to love one another
His law is love and His gospel is peace
Chains shall He break for the slave is our brother
And in His name all oppression shall cease
Sweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,
Let all within us praise His holy name.
Fall on your knees
Oh hear the angel voices
Oh night divine
Oh night when Christ was born
Oh night divine
Oh night divine

For God so loved the world,
that he gave his only begotten
Son, that whosoever believeth
in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
John 3:16
