The Latter Rain
The latter rain precedes the return of God’s Son,
He’ll return for His sheep after saying “It is done”.
The early rain was poured out on the disciples of old,
while they waited in the upper room as told.
The story has been passed on down through the ages,
exactly as written in the Holy Word’s pages.
Steadily God draws all who would hear,
revealing His undying love without coercion or fear.
None are neglected the opportunity is for all;
with a promise to save those answering His call.
The early rain gave power to those willing to serve;
God does so much more for us than we deserve.
We are not worthy to serve nor could we ever be,
yet God still loves every one of us so unconditionally.
He loves us and allows us to each have a part,
in sharing about salvation and how Jesus came into our heart.
Though we are saved imperfection is our plight,
only through the blood of Jesus do we bring God delight.
I know I’m not perfect I’m forgiven in Jesus’ name,
I pray I’ll be Blessed to take part in the latter rain.

My Faith Is Sufficient
My faith is sufficient for my every need,
God provides without my having to beg or plead.
I know my faith is more than sufficient;
it was given of God and He’s very proficient.
This faith’s been tested so many ways,
God always provides when I take time to pray.
Yet there is one fact I mustn’t forget,
we each have some unbelief that makes us fret.
Unbelief brought on by our erroneous thought,
or even facts we were mistakenly taught.
Unbelief doesn’t banish our faith,
but as to the answers to prayer we may have to wait.
Wait until the unbelief can be erased,
before the fulfilling of our requests is in place.
In the Holy Word I found to my relief,
where a father asked Jesus to help his unbelief.
That verse was comforting to me,
revealing a believer can face unbelief occasionally.
The fact I periodically experience unbelief,
is not sufficient to overcome me with grief.
I know God always does what’s for the best;
I know He’ll even get me through these tests
So if per chance you see any unbelief in me,
please lift my name before God prayerfully.
Pray I’ll draw close to Him during each incident,
pray I can see my faith is sufficient.

Pray as you ought,
and you will live as you pray.
God will create a new spirit
in you and will revive your
enthusiasm for living!
Fear not, for I am with you;
be not dismayed, for I am your
God, I will strenghten you, yes,
I will help you, I will uphold
you with My righteous right hand.
