Rainbow Of Colors

The falling rain turned to a mist,
Thunder begins to roll on by,
Streaks of lightning now fade,
A rainbow of colors arc across the sky.

God sent the rainbow as a sign,
His word is always true.
This is His eternal message,
He is speaking to me and you.

Rainbows appear as God promised,
Guiding us through every storm,
Taking our cares and troubles,
Giving relief no matter their form.

When life is filled with woes of dismay,
Remember the promise of God today,
His rainbow of colors will appear.
To receive His blessing we must pray.

This poem is dedicated to Granidee,
and her rainbow of colors.

Glenna, I thank you for your thoughtfulness
and for the friendship you have shared with
me. God Bless you, my friend.

"I do set my bow in the cloud,
and it shall be for a token of a
covenant between me and the earth. . .
And the bow shall be in the cloud;
and I will look upon it,that I may
remember the everlasting covenant
between God and every living creature
of all flesh that is upon the earth."
~~ Genesis 9:13, 16 ~~

Father

I thank You for Your covenant,
Your promise that You will never let
the floods of water utterly destroy the
earth again. I thank You for Your love,
Your goodness and Your mercy unto us,
a flawed, sinful mankind.

Please forgive us, Father, and love us
still; for even in our best moments,
we lack the measure of Christlikeness
that would make us a blessing unto others,
and a source of delight unto You.

Bless us, I pray . . . correct us by
Your Holy Spirit.
In the midst of this life's trials and storms,
may we actively look beyond the darkness and
negativity, in search of Your holy covenant rainbow.
O brighten our views of this sad world and
the people in it . . . let us be loving and caring
. . . let our skeptical eyes be transformed to see as
Jesus sees. Deliver us from inner darkness,
Father, that we may see Your bow in the heavens,
and that we may constantly look beyond our thoughts
and our ways, to Your own high works and Your own
Blessed Way.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ

Amen

Thank you,
Mary Ann
