A Mother's Prayers
A mother had knelt at an altar
With a heart so heavy she pled
Lord please hear my petition
I know for us You suffered and bled

My children their lives are so sinful
My heart is just breaking in two
Lord You know I have taught them
To always believe in You

They’ve strayed from the way of my teachings
The paths of sin they do trod
Is there some way I could help them
Turn their lives back to you, God

I can’t bear to leave them in this condition
But what more Lord can I do
I brought them up in the right way
So now I must give them to You

To Church I took them each Sunday
Learning Your Word they enjoyed
But somewhere they got on the wrong road
And satan’s ways they employ

Please keep them safe from harm Lord
Watch over them till they turn to You
Remind them that mother is praying
That they give their hearts to you
