Pray For Our Daddy

With all that is going on I would like to ask
for each of you to pray for our Daddy.
He is in the Air National Guard
at McEntire Army Air Guard
in Eastover, South Carolina.
He has been sent to Ft. Stewart, Ga.
and from there he will be sent to
an unknown destination.

Now my Daddy is an E-4 and his name is Russell,
but my Mom and most everyone else calls him Rusty.
Now his Papa and Grandma named him Bud
when he was a little boy
and now they call me Little Bud.
You know I really like that!
I have a little brother and his name is Wesley
and my real name is Jordan.
Wesley and I love our Daddy so much
and miss him terribly.

When my Daddy went to Kuwait
during Operation Southern Watch.
I was just a little boy but I'm a big boy now.
I wanted so badly to go with him and I
was in line to board the plane
(see me in line in the picture below)
But Mommy said I needed to stay here
and take care of her, so that is what I did.
Mom, Me and my Poppie, Nana, Renee'
and everyone that loved us
missed our Daddy so much.

Now he is having to leave us again
and they are telling me
they don't know when he will be back.
My brother is a little fellow
but he is sad and misses Daddy too.
So would you please say a pray or two
for our Daddy along with all the other Daddys
that are gone to defend our country.
I know they will thank you when they get back,
but for now Wesley and I thank you
from the bottom of our hearts

"Got Your Back"

We are small and precious children,
Our dads been sent to fight..
The only place we'll see his face,
Is in our dreams at night.
He will be gone too many days
For our young minds to keep track.
We may be sad, but we are proud.
Our daddies got your back..

"This is me (Jordan) and Wesley"

We are caring parents Our son has gone to war...
Our minds are filled with worries
That we have never known before.
Everyday we try to keep our thoughts from turning black.
We may be scared, but we are proud...
Our son has got your back..

"Our Poppie and Nana"

I am a strong and loving wife,
With a husband soon to go.
There are times I'm terrified
In a way most never know.
I bite my lip, and force a smile
As I watch my husband pack..
My heart may break, but I am proud..
My husbands got your back..

Our Mom (Betty)

I am a soldier, a sailor, a marine, or an airman
Serving Proudly, standing tall.
I fight for freedom,
Yours and mine by answering this call.
I do my job while knowing,
The thanks it sometimes lacks.
Say a prayer that I'll come home.
It's me whose got your back.

"Our Hero - 'Rusty' - Our Daddy"

~Author of Poem Unknown To Me~

I received this ribbon from a dear friend
I met through the internet,
Thank you Rita for making this beautiful ribbon
filled with so much love for all the soldiers.

This is what Rita sent to me through an email:

Today I also received your new site "A Soldier".
It was done very special,
because very easily someone can say a wrong word
in this matter without to want it.
I would like to give my contribtuion to this site:
(I made it with my scanner
and it works for all sons,
husbands, friends, nephews, Daddy`s
no matter which nationality)
and it should work for all the Wesley`s and Jordan`s.
Dear Rhonda,
thank you again for being so
like you are very special.
We all meet each other in our prayers.
God bless you!
With love, respect and gratefullness - RITA
