~In The Middle Of Town~
Standing here deep in thought
I gently raise my head and look around
At many different types of people
Hurrying their way through town
From every walk of life it seemed to be
From the one with suits and ties
to the homeless
No one shows friendship to another
Their journey through life seems hopeless
We are all created equal in God’s eyes
That’s the way He meant for it to be
Not one person be better than the other
NO matter what color his skin might be

The beggar is as good as the rich man
The Bible even points this out
There are no big "I’s and little YOU’S
God is disappointed in us no doubt
If only they could see as I see them
Each one is God’s creation
If we cared more for our fellowman
We’d once again become a great nation
A nation of prayers and in God we trust
Lend a helping hand to the needy
I would like to say to each one of you
I will always be here if you need me
