One more day of sunshine Lord
I need it so bad this time
One more day to see flowers bloom
One more day to call mine
I’ve been low in this valley Lord
I can’t seem to climb out
The devil’s been tempting me
He’s fighting me now no doubt
I need one more day of happiness
One more day not to cry
Maybe I could be at peace again
Before the day goes by
You know my thoughts from afar off Lord
You know my old heart too
Could you just send a healing touch
Down to a heart that’s true
One more day of sunshine Lord
I hope and pray it comes
But not my will but Thine lord
I’ll have peace when this world is done
