~Sisters~
You are my sister and I love you so,
Why did you ever have to move and go?
Away to places I can't go too,
You have made my heart so blue.
I remember when you tied my shoes,
Comb my hair, and said "I do."
We both got married and our lives changed,
But there is no one to blame.
You had your children and I had mine,
And that happens to woman most of the time.
As we got older the grandchildren came,
Then we were happy all the same.
Now you live in another town,
We don't see each other and it makes me frown.
So when you are down and feel alone,
Remember I'm here even though we are grown.
I love you, Sister, with all my heart,
And even the miles can't keep us apart.
You will always be a part of me,
That is the way Sisters should be.
