"He Walked That Path to Calvary"

He walked that path on a Friday they did say
Bruised and beaten and carrying a heavy cross
For our sins and transgressions He paid the cost.
They crowned His head with thorns
For lies and sins of all He was scourned.
He was wrapped in a cloth and put into a tomb.
Everyone felt that He was doomed.
Three days later He arose and was seated at the right
Hand of the Father
Pardoning every Man, Women, Son and Daughter.
His death and resurrection came to set us free.
For all of us He overcame death and won the Victory.
Salvation and Grace is ours forever more
Thats why the Father let Jesus walk that path to Calvary.

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations,
baptizing them in the name of the Father, and the Son and the Holy Spirit"
Matthew 28:19

"Because He Lives"

Jesus came to save us from satan and the pains of hell
Dragging that heavy cross He stumbled and fell.
His hands were nailed to a dogwood tree
He took all of man's wrath and inequity.
Accused falsely for things He didn't say or do
Offering us Grace and Salvation to see us through.
In the garden of Gethsemane,
He knelt and prayed on bended knee
So scared He cried, "Father, take this cup away from me"
Father, let not mine, but thine, will be done
Be gone with evil, let satan flee, hide, and run.
Into His Father's hands His spirit did flow.
This happened over 2000 years ago.
He arose and came back in Spirit for all people to walk
on freedoms golden land.
His birth and resurrection by the Father was already planned.
Welcome Him into your heart and let Him live and stay
Let us rejoice on this festive Easter Holiday.

"It Is Finished"

With a crown of thorns on His head
He was beaten and bruised.
Jesus knew this was the plans of His Father
and that plan could never be refused.

Pilate wanted to please the crowd,
he had his soldiers whip Jesus
And then hand Him over
to be nailed to the cross
For each of our sins
Jesus paid the cost.

Jesus was taken by Simon
To Golgotha which is called,
"The place of the skull."
There they offered Him
wine to drink made of gall.

Pilate wrote a notice and
had it put on the cross
"Jesus of Nazareth,
the King of the Jews"
The Jewish chief priest
did not want this written
Pilate said what is written
stays written and this he knew.

The soldiers nailed Him to
the cross and divided His clothes
Into four parts one for each.
This made the scriptures come true
and even today this is being taught and preached.

Jesus knew that everything
was over and completed
He knew He would die and rise
and be seated by the right hand of the Father
All sins of the world were defeated.

"I am Thirsty" He said, as they
soaked wine into a sponge and
On a branch of hyssop they lifted it to His lips
Jesus took the wine and said, "It Is Finished"
He bowed His head and
died and may we always know
His love for us will never diminish.

Because He lives all fear is gone
Victory over evil was won.
Now we can say to ourself,
"He lives and we can face tomorrow"
Easter mourn is a day without sin and sorrow.
