God you saved my soul on that Spring day
So many years Ago.
I was lost and lonely and felt something missing
In my life down below.
You came into my heart and lit a spark and ignited
An eternal flame
My spirit was renewed and all my sins were forgiven
And I felt no shame.
Beauty bound was I on that day in May of Nineteen Seventy Five
All of life's splendors were offered and I at last
Became alive.
Trees, flowers, and the scent of life takes my breath away
All the promises that you made remain and will forever stay.
A herd of deer in a pasture with their eyes all aglow
On canvas they will paint such a lovely picture show.
Majestic mountains capped with snow is such a lovely sight
Sweet Jesus, I thank your Father for giving me you
And on bended knee I pray to you each and every night.
I wait for your coming, and when that trumphet sounds
And when you gather all of your flock in
With graciousness I"ll serve you hoping that you take me
Along with all the rest of my kin.
Such a blessing my life with you has been, I know I would
Go to hell for you if you could bring me back again
The love I have within my heart you taught me to share
I try to teach, reach, and pray they all know just
How much I realy care.
Lord, let all people see things different and let them
Say to their loved ones how they really feel
Let the broken hearted know you came to save and to heal.
Never put off what needs to be said
Jesus even knows how many hairs you have on your head.
Tell that certain someone how much you care
Do things different if you dare??
