"My Husband"

Fred, I can't begin to tell you how I really feel.
No one would be able to understand what it's like to be married to a guy
who can make your heart skip a beat and give it a thrill.

I asked, as a little girl, for God to send me someone just like my dad.
One with goodness in his heart who would be willing to take a firm and rightful stand.
Forty Five years ago He sent that man and blessed my life for me.
Today we're still as much in love as everyone can see.

You're so gentle and my best and trusting friend.
You're always there to lend a helping hand on you so many do depend.

Your wit and charm they attract no one can ever refuse.
You love to tell a joke or two for your sense of humor I hope you'll never lose.

Your love amazes me and I'm lost in your devotion to family and friends alike.
They say you had that personality ever since you were a little tike.

With God for us who can be against.
We take on all of life's problems and lay them at His feet and let them forever rest.
Sometimes life hasn't been easy and we failed many a hard test.

God has given us all we'll ever need and He guides us along our merry way.
We asked Him into our hearts and we both know that's where He'll always stay.

For all the good times we have had and maybe some bad in between.
We've laughed and cried and thanked Him some were so rough and so lean.

I never met a man that has loved me so much and showed me how much he cares.
He lets me be myself and His trust will always be right there.

God has joined us together and we made a family and a happy home.
Jesus is in the center of our life on land or sea or wherever we may roam.

He gave us an only child on values she was raised.
We both will always be so thankful and to Him we give all the praise.

You have that tender glow and a warm and gentle touch.
I realize now that's why I love you so very much.

Don't you ever doubt this love of mine.
You give me hope, you gave me reason you gave me something to believe in forever faithfully.

This page was one of the hardest I have ever written
because I will never be able to give my husband all he deserves.
I only know he's all I am and all I'll ever want to be.
All that we have together was brought together by our God
who united us together and to death do us part.
What God brought together let no man put asunder.
