MY PATHWAY TO HEAVEN

Lord, You reached inside my heart and touched my inner being.
You gave my life a brand new start and added new meaning.

When I think of you nailed to that old dogwood tree,
All the sacrifices were made and your blood was shed
For all the world to see.

In your infinite wisdom I was told
That all my sins were forgiven and I can't ever be
bought or sold.

My eyes will always see the joys and love You have brought.
You put an end to the battle of sin so many have fought.

In a world full of toils and snares Your words and wisdom
were right there.

You gave me hope and brushed away all of my doubts.
You ended my fears.
You dried my eyes and wiped away my tears.

No more anguish will I see or feel.
I know in my heart that I am special and Your love
for me is mighty and so real.

I will serve You, Lord, until it's time for You to come back
And gather in Your flock.

The pathway to heaven will be mine and no more will I be
here for people to scorn or mock.

They have ridiculed and called me names in my past.
All because of witnessing and worshiping You.
Your voice is in every single word that I say or do.

When my life here on this shore is finally over
We will sail together to the sweet clefts of Dover.

My pathway to heaven will be so sweet
For the love of my precious Savior is so gentle
And it can't be beat.

ALL ALONE HE DIED FOR ME

All alone on that cross He died for me
So that my transgressions and sins can be forgiven
And I will forever be set free.

Heavy laden and scourned, mocked and beaten
And nailed to that old rugged cross.
His disciples felt guilty and were sad and so lost.
If they only knew Jesus was to die and pay the cost.

They found out while on earth and they were taught
Taught what life with Him was all about.

As they left Him alone in the garden to suffer
Suffer for evil and all of man's sins.

He won the victory for He was the one chosen
AND Picked by the Father to win.

He conquered death and evil and arose from the dead.
Our life will never be the same for His blood was shed.

Shed so all men can be forgiven and follow Him.
Follow Him to the end of the earth and back again.

He is the bread of life and offered up His cup.
Drink from the living waters
Let us have a sup.

He's the risen Christ.
Let all men come and see.
All alone He died so a better life will be had
by you and me.
