The disciples were sad; they thought that their hopes for a Messiah to deliver them was gone.... He died on the cross, He was gone and they were alone... But not so!!! For on the third day, He rose from the dead... Sunday at dawn, Mary Magdalene and Mary, the mother of James, arrived at the sepulchre. (Matthew 28:1)... The tomb was empty. Jesus appeared to Mary and told her to tell the disciples that He was alive and would be going to the Father... They doubted her words... But Jesus did appear to them and gave them (and us) a commission for our lives...

Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.... Matthew 28:16-20

Many call this day Easter, I prefer to call it Resurrection Sunday, for indeed, Christ was indeed resurrected from the dead... What does that mean to me? It means I need not fear death anymore... Christ conquered it for me... I will go from this world to the presence of my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ... Hallelujah!!! What a day of rejoicing that will be... For there will be no more pain, no more sorrow, no more tears... Just a time of praising and worshipping at my Lord's feet... Glory to God!!!

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes...Revelation 7:17
