You think you’ve reached the bottom when you find the bottom give a bit more and you sink even lower. You wonder if there will be an end and will you ever get up again. The church you attended was friendly and warm but now you find you can’t even crawl there. You wonder if anyone will see you are gone and ask of your well-being, perhaps, even call to say hello. Your needs seem unmet and you feel all alone, your family tries their best but nothing seems to help.

Then a knock comes at the door and you think to yourself, is it a man, a woman, a child, perhaps a teen. Perhaps salesperson trying to sell you something, a neighbor with a favor to ask or perhaps, someone noticed you were not around.

As you open the door, no form stands there to greet. It is as a bright light that shines and gives to you hope. A peace passes over you and a joy leaps inside. The door you have opened is not the door to your home, but the door to your heart. The visitor is Jesus and He’s here to stay. He’ll lead you and guide you and lift you up when you’re down. He’ll shine the light in the darkest hour.

Jesus will lead you, guide you and teach you to pray. He’ll be there forever, if only you will let Him stay. He’ll love you without condition and fill your life with His only peace. In times of tribulation, the load, He’ll bear.
