It isn't always easy to rejoice. It is not an option but it gets easier as you think about all the good things that the Lord has put in your life. In my life, it is family - A wife, a son, two daughters, three grandsons and one granddaughter. He provides all that is needed.

So when something does get you down, think on the good things. Joy will come as you start thanking and praising Him. I thank God for sending Jesus, for giving me a loving wife and children that I might learn from.

I have been walking with the Lord for a number of years now and I am still learning and will be until that glorious day when He comes to takes me home. I am not a man of many words, except when it comes to the things of the Lord

One thing that I have learned is the Lord is not slack concerning His promise. When we come to Him, we usually bring a lot of stuff with us and most of it is trash. Growth comes when we get rid of trash a little at a time (sometimes a lot) but never all at once. I base this thought on the following scripture:

I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one...John 1:12-14

When we come to the Lord, it is a growing process for almost every one that has had a true conversion. If you have had one, then you know what I am talking about. Amen?
