The Storm Will Pass
When you're feeling low, downtrodden and weary
Your head may hurt, and your eyes may be teary
Your body aches and you've run out of gas
Fear not my friend, The Storm Will Pass
Nothing you do seem to go right
Whether it's morning, noon, or night
And the chores have doubled and tripled in mass
Yet you can be sure, The Storm Will Pass
Look to the heavens, for that strength that you need
And the Lord will supply, as he promised, indeed
Then as time passes by, you will think, alas
When will it be that, The Storm Will Pass
Then you suddenly realize, what you should have done first
To solve all your problems, hunger and thirst
Take them to God and take them their fast
Because, only through Jesus, The Storm Will Pass

What kind of example am I ?
As we live our lives from day to day.
We may wonder, where, when, how, and why ?
But the most important question of all,
What kind of example am I ?
The clothes we wear, give impressions for sure.
How much effort we make, how hard we try.
Our actions and motions, our facial expressions.
What kind of example am I ?
The words that we speak, we carefully choose.
The tears on our faces, whenever we cry.
The discipline we enforce, for those who abuse.
What kind of example am I ?
Jesus Christ has set the standard,
That we should all be living by.
Each step of the way, we must ask each day,
What kind of example am I ?

"At His Feet"
Dear Lord I have so much on me, I don't know what I should
do, If I only knew how it should be, Then I could learn not to
be blue.
But you see I'm stressed, With trials and pain, I know I am
blessed, But yet I feel I'm going insane.
You say to lay it all down, But where do I do that? You
urge me not to frown, You say you've taken care of that.
Where do I lay my pain, You say why my child, at my
feet, With me all you can do is gain, You can not be beat.
But can't you see I'm torn and battered, And I always ask
why, Lord, my dreams have been shattered, But then I hear your
reply.
My child I've given my life for you, I've been beaten and
bruised, My blood was shed for you, You shouldn't be confused.
I said lay the problems at my feet, And that is what I
meant, Don't ask why you feel defeat, Every trial is a
blessing sent.
You may not see it now, But someday you will
understand, You don't have to ask how, You just follow my
command.
Just lay it at my feet, That's not hard to do, After all I
was beat, And I died for you.

"Sometimes"
Sometimes I can't calm your deepest fears, And it hurts me
so bad to see your tears. Sometimes I can't find the words to
say, On those rough, stormy, and cloudy days.
I will not always seem to be, That strong, happy friend you
see in me. I can't do all there is to do, All I can say is
I'm here for you.
As time goes by each day, I pray God to touch you in every
way. I cannot calm the roughest seas, But I can get down on
my knees.
Sometimes I've been in a bad mood, But I'm so glad that you
understood. When we seem to grow apart, Never fear you'll be
in my heart.
Even though I can't always find the words to say, I'll be
there to listen on anyday. I can't change the past
mistakes, Because in this life there aren't retakes.
I wish I could calm your fears, But I will be here through
the years. I know life isn't fair, But I want you to know
I'll always be there!

Heart to Heart
No better time than evening When shadows fall apart To
quietly approach my Lord And share with Him my heart
I shut out other voices As this dialogue begins The day has
been so hectic And my heart needs to mend
We speak of what I'm feeling And what He wants of me For
when I say "Amen" I know My spirit is set free
I leave with Him my burdens I feel His tender care And He
makes His love known to me In the heart-to-heart's we share

All Things Work Together
If this day brings me happiness Or deep and dark despair
I know the Lord will go before He knows my every care
I cannot sidestep trials I'm learning all the while And
then comes joyous laughter With sweet lighthearted smiles
I look to Him for courage I look to him for grace He
always knows what's best for me To help me win the race
So if your heart is heavy With sad thoughts and
despair He's holding every answer Just meet Him now in
prayer!

Poem of Encouragement
When you open your eyes today Remember there is someone who
watches your way.. Remember you're never alone, The Lord is
alive and well upon His Throne. When troubles seem to come to
take away your peace, There is comfort in Him, oh yes sweet
release..
You see, when you woke up today and you opened up your eyes He
was waiting there ready to hear your cries.. He knows a path He
desires for you to walk today Seek Him early and He will show you
the way.. Keep yourself in His perfect will It will keep you
from giving up When you're going up those long long hills..
We all face trials in this life We all are in a fight against
troubles ..pain..and strife.. In Him we never walk alone In
Him, because He sits on the throne.
Victory has been won for you Keep Him my friend, He's the one
who loves you so.... Dont be discouraged, dont give up, Dont
look at those things that seem to grow bigger When you consider
their size.. The Lord is greater ..He is there You truly are
His wonderful Prize..
He fought for you...a battle took place He defeated the enemy
now we have His Grace. Great is the Lord and worthy to be
Praised..He won the victory .. Hold your head up high Walk
with a step of hope in your stride Joy cometh in the morning if
you keep His love in your heart.. He loves you so my friend..He
will never depart

EAGLES FLIGHT
By Teresa Martin,'99
Soaring high in freedom Eagles playing in the sun
High above the earth below
And higher than lifes storms.
Mounting up they climb so high
Wings spread in full array
God's wonderful creation
With a lesson to teach today..
Like a tiny eagle we can be
Wanting to rest inside the nest
But mama knows we must fly
To be our very best..
Growing the tiny eagle
Fears the great beyond
Heights seem to insurmountable
But mama pushes us on..
Day by day she takes a straw
Gently from the nest
She brings us to that certain day
That we must pass the test..
The once small helpless eagle
Must now learn how to fly
So she hooks them with her talons
Taking them to the sky..
Once high above the horizon
She allows the bird to fall
But always with a watchfall eye
The little bird feels oh so small..
Over and over she teaches
And suddenly like sunshines light
The eagles wing's feel stronger
And it takes its solo flight..
Sometimes in life we face such odds
That we want to give up and quit
The things we fear seem oh so large
And in our nests of pity we sit..
But remember the little eagle
God cares for us much more
He always has a watchful eye
To make us safe and strong.
Tests sometimes make us stronger
Have faith and you will see
He will raise us up above the storms
And give us victory..
“You’ll Find me There”
If ever you have sensed me near, Yet doubted it could
be, Thinking it impossible, That rainbow might be me.
See, I’m the whisper of the wind, I didn’t ever
leave, Infact my presence emanates, If you will just believe!
That song that resonates your mind Is one I sing for
you, Oh precious, please, rely on faith, There’s so much I can
do.
At times you loathe the days that rain, In anguish you
lament, It seems the sun but dimly shines, The flowers have no
scent.
Now sweetie, it’s okay to cry, I’ve watched you hold it
in, Please know that I adore you so, We will be joined again.
And as you sometimes wring your hands, And feel this grief you
bear, Just picture me, and close your eyes, I swear you’ll
find me there!

He Picks Us Up
He picks us up when we are feeling low, He brushes us off and
shows us which way to go. He reaches His loving hand
down, when he sees our heart broken frown. He pours His
blessings down on you and me, and dries our tears so we can
see. He sees us racking our brain, and sends promises of love,
that we can claim. He eases our mind, and all in His
time. He sees us floundering in a sea of misery, and guides us
along so we can get free. He finds us sinking deep in
despair, and gently reminds us of His watchcare. Our Heavenly
Father is so Awesome and strong, and when Jesus goes to Heaven
again, He will take us along. All we have to do is call out His
name, and when we trust in Him, we will never be the same. He
watches over us with Fatherly love, the unconditional kind that
comes from above. He saves our souls so we can be, saved from
hell eternally. He heals our heart, and helps us make a brand
new start. He helps us put the past away, and promised
strength for the days that we sway. He heals our shattered
soul, and shows us a brand new goal. He gives us hope in our
sea of desperation, and gives His hand to cling to in hours of
deep mediation. Jesus is our stronghold in all of the ins and
outs, and when He comes to get us it will be with a
shout! "Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter,
you will restore my life again: from the depths of the earth
you will bring me up." Psalm 71:20 NIV Elaine

HOW DEEP IS YOUR FAITH?
Do we wear our faith where people can see, and do we try real
hard to help people believe? Some people would put on a good
show, trying to make people believe everything they know. God
judges on the heart, because that's the best place to
start. You can fool some people for a while, think you are
hiding things behind a smile. Maybe we should try to consider
just what can be gained, by trying to hide anything with a
name. Do we share our faith every chance we get, or are we
afraid someone will throw a fit? Doing our work for the Lord
should never feel like a chore, and when you read God's Word it
is never a bore. We need to keep our faith deep in our
heart, and it makes such a difference when we share a
part. Some people wear their faith on their sleeve, and some
people with their faith deceive. We have some tests that we can
try, to see if it's truth or lie. People are watching us
everyday, they will always be ready to criticize our ways. We
are supposed to be like Jesus in all ways, and He will guard all
of our days. Do we stay in a joyful state,, or would we act
like it is overate? People should be able to see Jesus in
us, everyday and in all ways Jesus to trust. We can count on
our Saviour to be right by our side, and the Holy Spirit will
always abide. Jesus will never turn His back on us, and for
Salvation we must trust. Jesus guides His sheep in a gentle
way, and makes us strong when we begin to sway.
"For it is by Grace you have been saved, through faith and
this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

God Looks On The Heart
Our Father in Heaven looks into our heart, because that's the
most important part. In the heart lies the truth of the
soul, being more like Jesus should be our goal. God wants us
to hide HIs Word in our hearts, but, He won't demand that part.
God gives us our own free will, so when we mess up it will be
a sour pill. God only wants good things for us, that's why He
sent Jesus for us to trust. Our human heart, if left on it's
own, would be on material things that we could own. God
judges us on our heart's desire, and He is very willing to pull
us from the mire. The human heart is of selfishness, always
searching to be the best. If we really want to please our
Lord, then we should be trying to cause less discord.
"But the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his
countenance, or on the height of his stature: because I have
refused him; for the Lord seeth not as man seeth: for man looketh
on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the
heart." I Samuel 16:7 KJV
