On Sunday evening, March 2, 2003 I ended up having an emergency appendectomy. It was pretty frightening but the baby and I made it through just fine! I was however left with a 4 inch incision and 9 staples! Owie! God is so faithful and lovingly protected us both. The surgeon said if I'd waited even another 24-36 hours my appendix would have ruptured (it already had a pin-hole sized leak in it) and the baby at the very least would have died and possibly myself as well. Thank you, God for your ever-protecting hand upon us both!
