Welcome to my world
Welcome to my little corner of the world. Let me tell you a little about me. I am from the midwestern section of the United States. I enjoy singing and playing games with my wonderful grandchildren. I also am a writer and I have written for many people and organizations to help better the world. I had the honor of writing a poem for the Columbine Memorial quilt. I didn't know how important poetry and songwriting could be until I got my computer four years ago. I was writing poems about anything and everything.
One day a man wrote and asked if I gave my poems to folks for web pages. I told him yes, I wrote
poems to share. He explained that writing was an art and just as we buy websets and pay people to
make pages I should sell my poetry so he built me a page to sell personalized poetry. He has given me confidence in things I never dreamed possible and I owe him a world of thank yous. So, thank you...Mac.
Another thing I love to do is to sew. I have created a line of hugables which I also sell on my
Poetry Corner page. My friend has shown me if I have a dream, to pursue it, and I have many dreams.
I have taught one of my granddaughters how to make my little hugable characters and I hope she can keep the line going when I no longer can. She is my shadow. She enjoys what I do and we spend many hours just doing our thing. LOL
My interests are varied. I have been singing all my life and have been lucky enough to write a song that was sung on national TV. See, I write about natural occurances. Floods, Forest fires,
About the Challenger, The new millennium, Princess Di...any historical event. It is fun to capture things in song.
But I enjoy more that just writing. I love mountains, oceans, flowers, trees, streams, birds.
My favorite bird is the yellow finch, second only to the humming birds. My favorite flower is
the yellow rose. My favorite song is "Go Rest High" My favorite singers are Tennessee Ernie Ford,
Jim Ed Brown and Vince Gill. My favorite past time, other than writing, is reading a good book and being with my grandchildren and singing, playing games or just talking with them. I love to listen to my daughters, son and grandchildren sing. They all have such beautiful voices.
I will be sending cool photos of my grandchildren and also my favorite things. Mainly things the
Creator gave us to love. The Earth, the sky, the stars, the wooded paths and creatures therein.
We would have none of these wonderful things to enjoy had it not been for the Creator's blessings
upon this earth. I give full credit to My Lord and Saviour for my talents and I share the talents
He gave me for His glory. So now that I have told you all about me, please take the time to read
