One year ago today
Children went out to play.
People rode on busses, trains, and planes.
Then in an instant, chaos reigned.
The Towers, the planes, the people....gone!
The Pentagon attacked!
An invasion here at home!
But the people of this country have pulled together
To take a united stand.
We flew our flags and said prayers
As we held each other's hands.
Yes, we've been hurt
And we'll never forget.
We're on guard now every day.
But we'll defend our freedom.
We'll be okay.
And the terrorists will face God someday!
