ALIVE FOREVERMORE
|
|
OUR TIMES ARE IN HIS HANDS.
|
As the door of 2002 closes and we enter into 2003, a brand new year, we have promises which have been given unto us to claim in His holy name. Christ our Lord has risen in
victory and is alive forevermore. Because He
lives, we have life eternal if we believe upon Him. If any man be in Christ, he is a new
creature. Old things pass away and all things become new in Christ when one is changed by his indwelling spirit and power.
When in Christ, we must continue to let his Spirit lead us and be purged of anything that
would keep us from faithfully doing his will.
Our times are in His hands so we have no reason to be anxious as we can trust him not only today, but for each new day
of life that we are given. The sands of time never stop and each year we are nearer
to the eternal Day of the Lord.
Just as the old year ends and a new year begins, so it is with a new Christian.
Old things are forever passed away as God has cast one's sins away as far
as the East is from the West and clothed them with a robe of righteousness.
It is time to celebrate new life in Christ and the joy which only He can bring to a heart.
Each new day holds promises and joy for a child of God. With Jesus is Lord we have a reason to celebrate life and his love.
Each day He will supply our daily bread if we obey his commands. He told the
Children of Israel if they obeyed, "blessed shall be your basket and blessed shall be your store,"
which represents daily bread or provisions which He will supply.
He has also
promised us He will supply all of our need according to his riches in glory.
He is all we need as everything can be found in Jesus. Day by day....Jesus is the way. He is always
there for us and is an ever present help as His Spirit abides within our heart.
It is one thing to be alive, but to be alive in Christ is what is more important. We have
been given the gift of life but the most important gift of all is the 'gift of salvation'.
It is freely given to us as unmerited favor from our Lord because of
his grace extended to
us. Grace has also been defined as "God's riches at Christ's expense" as we are given
the riches of God which have been paid for by Christ. He paid the debt He did not
owe as we owed a debt we could not pay. Because He took our place on Calvary's cross,
we now have a place with Him through faith because of his grace freely given unto us.
There are many today who do not know our resurrected Savior and are classified as
"spiritually dead". These need to hear and receive the message of a God who loves them
and gave his only begotten Son, that they might believe on Him and have life eternal.
Death is separation from God but when one receives the
Savior, they have passed from death unto life.
It is the dawn of a brand new day for all who call upon his name in faith
with a willing heart to love and obey his commands.
Today is the day of salvation as the Lord calls souls to come unto Him. May we share the
burden of the Lord for souls as we see many who have no concern for the things of the Lord
but also see potential in their lives for Holy Spirit to change their heart.
Only the Lord can give hope and help that will last for all eternity.
His blessings and benefits are extended to all men who will look unto Him.
When we see sinners, may we also see the solution and know
that God's grace is abundant and he desires all to come unto Him and find rest and peace.
We have been given life eternal by the one who lives forevermore. He is worthy of
all our praise. May He be glorified and exalted as our God who is "alive forevermore."
Our prayer is that souls might be set free in 2003.
Lord, we lift your name on high!
May God Bless You!
