Believing is Receiving
Mark 11: 23
It has been written that "believing is receiving," or if we believe in our hearts
what we ask of God in prayer, he will answer our prayers and give our requests.
'Believing that receives' is not a belief that is humanly produced, but is by
faith imparted to a believer's heart by God. Many times when others are prayed for,
there is an element of faith missing in prayers because of lack of spiritual discernment
or total dedication to God. It is the prayer of faith that moves God. When we are in
agreement with God's will and words, "one can chase even a thousand" because
"it is the Lord your God, He it is that fighteth for you, as He hath promised you."
{Joshua 23:10).
Jesus tells us in Mark 9: 23,
"if thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."
If one asks for wisdom but wavereth in faith, they will not receive from the Lord but
"are as a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed." (James 1: 6)
Ask of the Lord in the authority of the name of Jesus. As our 'Great High Priest'
intercedes, the answer will come as promised. {John 14: 14}
There are many problems also referred to as 'mountains' in our lives, but
sometimes problems help us grow as they test faith. We can become 'bitter,'
or look to God, lean on Him and become 'better,' through faith. When we call
out into Him in faith and agreement with the Holy Spirit, there is nothing that can
stop his presence and power from filling our souls and working in our behalf.
The power of the Lord is greater than all other powers, principalities, and spiritual wickedness in the
high places of this world. He that has testified of his
faithfulness will do what He has said if we believe in our heart and do not doubt.
The answer may not always be as we think it should be, but we can rest assured God always has our best interest in his heart.
If we trust and never doubt, he will surely bring us out!
There is an old song which says, "Lord don't move that mountain, just give me the
strength to climb." For every problem there is a solution.
We have a problem solver
who always hears our heart's cry unto Him. He will remove the mountains when we
pray according to his will and believe it shall be done. God always knows the
motives and intents of our hearts when we pray, and does not not judge as man judges.
Nothing is impossible for God to do. Daniel seemed to have a big problem when he was
put in the lion's den. The King spoke and said unto Daniel, "the God whom you serve
continually, he will deliver thee." The King was right! Greater still, the promise of God was true
and He fulfilled his words of truth. Because of Daniel's faithfulness,
God sent his angel to shut the mouths of the lions and delivered Daniel from all harm.
There are many instances of the power of God shown in His Word and how God brought forth
his people when it seemed impossible. Most people cannot believe what they cannot see. God specializes in the impossible and faith
can move mountains. If you are facing a problem, you have one with you who sees the solution.
We are to speak God's word and promises and pray according to his will,
believing for the answer. He will carry you safely through that his name might be glorified.
Sometimes the answers to our prayers may be delayed.
God's delays are not his denials. We must keep holding on by faith.
There is no mountain He cannot climb, no valley he cannot level, and no problem without a solution.
Looking through eyes of faith at things hoped for moves the hand of God in our behalf.
May we give thanks for the One who is always with us.
He really is "an Awesome God!"
Blessings in Christ,

The Gift of Friendship
Friendship is a priceless gift that cannot be bought or sold
But its value is far greater than a mountain made of gold-
For gold is cold and lifeless, it can neither see nor hear,
And in the time of trouble it is powerless to cheer-
It has no ears to listen, no heart to understand
It cannot bring you comfort or reach out a helping hand
So when you ask God for a gift, be thankful if He sends
Not diamonds, pearls or riches, but the love of real true friends.
