BE
STILL
"Be still and know that I am God"
The Master speaks so tenderly to His own,
Look around you at all of creation
Feel my presence and know you are never alone.
The beauty of the evening sunset
Sinking low at end of day,
Seems to say it is "time to rest"
Come spend some time with God as your pray.
Be still and sense the flowing breeze
The wind sweeping so gently through the trees,
You can almost feel the very breath of God
He speaks to your heart as your love He sees.
The birds of the air and fish of the sea
Are cared for by our Father up above,
He provides for all living things we see,
The wonder of His presence fills the earth with His love.
Rains from the heaven seem to speak to creation
Telling the earth to be fruitful and blessed,
The blooming flowers and budding trees,
Show forth God's care after a season of rest.
Be still and sense His presence
His love will sweep across your soul,
Our Good Shepherd designed and created this beautiful world,
He makes us a brand new creation and sheep of His fold.
No one but He could make lights of the heaven to shine
He placed the sun and moon in the heavens for a sign,
No one else could make Earth, Jupiter, and Mars,
Only our Lord could make and call out the beautiful stars.
The colors of the landscape all across this earth
Are a beauty to behold each new day,
The golden fields of grain swaying in the breeze,
Remind us to thank our God as we talk to Him and pray.
Be still and feel the presence of our Creator
There is One who sits on Heaven's throne,
Be still and know He is as close as the mention of His name,
With His Spirit in your heart, you will never be alone.

BE OF GOOD CHEER
"But straightway Jesus spake unto them saying,
be of good cheer; it is I, be not afraid."
Matthew 14: 27
In this life there will be many spiritual storms and battles to come our way.
When we go through these things, we are to always remember to keep our eyes focused straight ahead on
Jesus, who is always in the midst of every storm.
He still speaks peace and says, "be still and
know that I am God," as He wants us to be of good cheer and rest in his love.
We must remember we are only "passing through" this life and whatever may come our way, "this too shall pass" and
there will always be a better day. God works in his time and his delays are never his denials.
As we look around us, we can see the answer to prayers and by faith know that His Spirit
is always working that He might be glorified in all things.
He will make a way where there seems to be no way and lead us on in right paths if we stay in his will.
Jesus said, "but the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the
Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship Him. God is a spirit,
and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." This is possible if
we put Him first in 'all our days' and in all our ways, and believe the Holy Scriptures.
We are not to fear or falter as Jesus is faithful as we follow Him and will carry us through
all the storms of this life until the day we reach heaven's shore.
The words of encouragement which our Lord speaks to us are founded on his power which is
limitless and his great love for those who belong to Him.
He also loves all those that He desires to come unto Him.
There are many other examples in Scripture of God admonishing
his children to have no fear, but look unto Him.
Our Lord still speaks peace today and will calm the troubled waters of one's soul if they only trust in Him.
There are many today who stand in need of prayer with physical needs for whom we need to pray, but those who need salvation
have the greatest need of all. It is God's desire to revive souls and as we join together in unity to
pray and seek the Lord for others. He will prepare hearts to receive his truths and spiritual life.
Habakkuk the Prophet prayed, "O Lord, I have heard thy speech, and was afraid; O Lord, revive
thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy."
This is the only kind of fear one should allow to remain in their life, which is a reverence and "awe"
for the Lord and his words, with a burden of prayer to see reviving of hearts across this land.
When Christians join together in unity with a burden for a lost and dying world, we will see
the power of prayer to change situations and lives through faith in our Lord.
When we keep our eyes upon the Master, we can rise above the problems of this life as we
walk hand in hand with Jesus, spiritually. We know He is leading the way and have nothing
to be anxious about as God is in control. Prayer can change hearts and lives as the Holy
Spirit will convict and looks to those with a humble and contrite heart before the Lord.
If there are problems surrounding you today, look to Jesus.
Within His Word are promises of life and hope.
He understands every situation and circumstance and stands ready to give
help, hope, and healing. His loving counsel is the greatest of all and will never fail.
"Be of good cheer" is still the word of the Master to us today.
It is his desire that we rejoice in Him and have peace in our lives each day. Even during difficult times, the joy of our salvation
can strengthen us as He keeps us safe in Him.
Christ is our Anchor and will keep us from harm.
Thanks to the Lord for speaking peace and love every day of our life.
With Jesus in our hearts, we will never walk
alone.
