Blessed Assurance
"Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear."
Isaiah 65: 24.
When we have a problem, need, or request, need someone there to talk to,
we have the assurance that our Savior is always there for us. He already knows the answers and has the solutions to our questions, problems, needs and desires of our heart.
In the invisible world of the spirit, a response to questions, thoughts
or our concerns in prayer can occur in a moment's time. We see an example of the Prophet Samuel having an extensive discussion with God in a
fraction of time while the process of selection of one of Jesse's sons to
be King is taking place. God was there to lead and instruct Samuel without
a lengthy discussion or having to give reasons for the choices which were to be made.
It has been said that "heaven is set up to handle the emergencies of men."
When you need an answer to prayer and all you seem to be able to speak is the name of Jesus, He will hear the very thoughts of your heart
and can answer to meet the need. Our Lord does not need hours or days to
think something over before He responds, as He knows what He wants to do
at all times. Since He already knows the answers, we are the ones who
are responsible to ask the questions about what action we should take in
any given circumstance. Sometimes he will show us what we need to do first
before the answer is granted to us. He always will guide us by faith to receiving
his very best as we give our best unto Him.
There is no question He cannot answer although He is not obligated to answer all our
questions. We must learn to walk by faith and simply trust in his promises when we do
not understand everything. We must seek his godly discernment and not go by what we see
or hear in the natural when following his pathway in life. His ways are not our ways nor
his thoughts our thoughts. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so our his thoughts
and ways higher than our thoughts or ways. We have a righteous God who has every
answer and the solution to all of life's problems. We have his blessed assurance of
hearing and answering in his way and know it will be perfect timing.
We should ask him his will, his heart, and his timing for all of our requests and know
in what atmosphere he desires to answer our needs that He might be glorified.
The environment of worship is where God likes to dwell and also what lifts us up in
spirit and in truth. We are to wait upon the Lord and be patient until the answer comes,
but also we can expect him to hear our prayers and give immediate answers when there is a
need at a certain moment for guidance and help. He is an ever present Help at all times
and is as close as the mention of his name.
What wonderful promises we have and can know that before we even call,
He will answer. Before we speak, He hears the very thoughts and intents
of our hearts. Every care of our heart is made manifest unto the Father
who has our best interest at heart as we serve Him in faith. Keep leaning
on the Lord and expect to receive the answer. As the words to an old spiritual song say, "He is an on-time
God...yes, He is!" Claim His promises and be abundantly blessed!
Blessings in Christ,
