                 Treasures In Earthen Vessels

Treasures.....2 Cor. 4-7

The power of God in and through our lives is a treasure, and is excellent in operation.   It is only received by being in a covenant relationship by communion and fellowship with the Lord.  His message is entrusted to fallible human beings and is the most valuable message of all.   Those who refuse to believe, do not have the revelation of His will.  Many are blinded to God's will.  To many, the love of power, money, or pleasures of life make God's word seem
irrelevant to them.

Anything which we may accomplish which is lasting, is not by our own doing, it is by the power of God which works within our heart and lives.  His power energizes, giving us zeal to accomplish the tasks which may be required of us in our Christian walk.

We are all human vessels of clay, which will one day be transformed unto glorified vessels of God which shall never perish.  He is our foundation and on Him we stand.  A vessel was made to contain something, and was shaped by the hand of the potter.  We can be glad our "Potter" did not throw away the clay which was marred, but applied living water before placing it on the potter's wheel to mold, make, shape and design it into a vessel of honor, fit for his use.  Only as he fills us with His Holy Spirit can we be poured out for Him.

The treasure of the power of God is the greatest treasure of all.   It is real, lasting, and through the power granted to his children on earth, we are building and laying up eternal treasures in heaven which will last forever.

Thanks to the Lord for all he has given us and for his joy which is our strength from day to day.  May we praise him for the "treasure" of his Holy Spirit given
unto us and let Him touch others through us as we share his love with a lost and dying world. His love is the greatest treasure of all!

Blessings in Christ,

                           Treasures
The treasures of this world will one day fade away
But treasures of the Lord are given if we pray,
We are molded by the Potter and made to be like him,
He changes our heart and takes away our sin.

There are vessels of wood and earthly vessels of clay,
Vessels tried by fire come out as gold on that day,
A vessel of honor we are to be for the Lord,
And we will be prepared for an eternal reward.

Faith is the key that opens heaven's door,
Where one day we shall abide in his                         mansions forevermore,
When we pass from death to life we show to others God's love,
As we pass through this life on our way to our home above.
