Empowered by God
"And because we are his sons God has
sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts,
so now we can rightly speak of God as our
dear Father. Now we are no longer slaves,
but God's own sons. And since we are his
sons, everything he has belongs to us, for
that is the way God planned."
Galatians 4: 6-7.
As Christians, we are children of the
King. We are called heirs and joint
heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer
with Him that we may be also glorified
together. Under the Roman law, an
adopted child was guaranteed all legal
rights to the Father's property.
He
was not a second-class son; he was equal to
any other sons, biological or adopted, in
his earthly Father's family.
As adopted sons and daughters of God, we
also share with Jesus the rights to God's
resources. One condition is that we
seek the Kingdom of God first, and all
things will be added unto us. Since we
are heirs of God, we can claim all he has
provided for us and our full identity as his
children. His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep
within our hearts, and tells us that we
really are God's children. Our new
citizenship is not of this world but is of
the heavenlies as our name has been written
in the Book of Life. Our conversation,
(lifestyle), and walk is to be in the Spirit
according to Romans 8.
Since we are his children, we can share his
treasure. But, if we are to share his
glory; we are told there will also be
suffering in this life. Our suffering
here is nothing compared to the glory he
will give us hereafter. For all
creation is waiting patiently and hopefully
for that future day when God will resurrect
the righteous to share in glorious
freedom. To be absent in this fleshly
body is to be present with the Lord. There
will be a great Resurrection day in the
future when all those in Christ will be
caught up to forever be with the Lord.
We are to comfort one another with these
words. Until the day of his appearing,
we are to worship and be about the Father's
business in the vineyard of the Lord.
We can give thanks today for everything
which the Lord had planned for us since the
beginning of time. We have been
justified and made a member of the wonderful
family of God. We have been empowered
by God as we could do nothing on our own
without his Spirit. If our words are
God's words and if spoken in spirit and
truth, they are anointed words. We are
given unction by the Holy Spirit to proclaim
the Gospel message. If the seed of
God's word falls on prepared hearts and is
received, the anointing breaks the
yoke. The yoke of man is heavy and
burdensome but the yoke of the Lord is easy
and his burden is light. It is a
blessing to know that true peace can be
found when one hears his voice and comes to
Him.
Blessings in Christ,

"For I reckon that the sufferings of
this present time are not worthy to be
compared with the glory which shall be
revealed in us." Romans 8: 17.
"A bruised reed shall he not break, and
the smoking flax
shall he not quench; he shall bring forth
judgment unto truth. He shall not fail
nor be discouraged, till he have set
judgment in the earth; and the isles shall
wait for his law." Isa.
42: 3-4
Children of the King
Adopted into the royal family,
We are children of the King,
Heirs and joint-heirs with Jesus,
Is the reason our hearts sing.
Heavenly choirs join in his praises,
Angels bow before the throne,
He who lives and reigns forever,
Gave the greatest gift ever known.
We will worship and adore Him,
Sons & Daughters of royalty
Empowered on earth and kept by his
Spirit,
We are saved by grace and have been
set free.
