Encouragement Through God's Word
"For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our
learning, that we through patience and comfort of the Scriptures
might have hope." Romans 15: 4.
The Apostle Paul is writing to the Romans to encourage them to know the Scriptures,
as the knowledge of God's Word revealed to us will affect outlook and attitudes
toward both the present and future. Our outlook is determined by our "looking up"
unto the Lord for our help. This is also written for our admonition today that we
might read God's Word and be blessed as we grow in grace and faith.
Our hope is in the Lord who will never fail us and will be with us always.
The things written formerly are for our learning and give us patience
and hope in Him as we see that only God can give a new heart and hope
that endures. He is faithful and true and the same God today as in days of old.

From the examples we see in the Bible, we learn patience and to depend by faith
on all the promises of our Lord. As we see what God did in times past, we look
toward the future with a great expectancy that He will do the same for us.
He is the same and his power has not changed.
We know the inspired Scriptures are the power of God unto salvation.
He will reveal his Word to us by His Spirit that
we might know Him and trust fully in Him as our Lord and
Saviour.
Our confidence will increase as we hide God's Word in our heart and know by faith.
He has already won the final war and is victorious in all things.
May we continue on in faith each day, searching the Scriptures and letting God write his words
with his pen of love within our hearts. He has written us a message that he wants
our souls to know. He will write his words on our heart to keep us in Him
today and always. His love letter from above is the
greatest encouragement of all.

May His Words encourage and bless us each new day as we take time to listen
and learn of Him. We learn to trust in Jesus through all things in life as we lean
upon Him and the blessed truths of His Word.
It is a joy to know Him and have His holy Word to speak to our hearts and His Spirit guide us each day.
Be encouraged today as together we give thanks for his great love for all.

Blessings In Christ,
