Wealth of God 

"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
Matthew 6: 21

The greatest wealth of all awaits us in life's race
As we press forward on the Gospel path day by day,
Rewards of the Lord one day will be given,
We have a crown of righteousness to gain if his laws we obey.

We must put Christ first in all that we do,
While walking on these earthly shores,
One day life will be over and we will be called home,
To live with our Saviour forevermore.

So keep pressing on and trusting in his Word
One day the dead in Christ shall rise to meet him in the air,
And we are all one day closer to Heaven's Home,
Where the riches of heaven and his glory we shall forever share.

THE NAME OF JESUS

"O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth, 
who hast set thy glory above the heavens." .....
Psalm 8: 1

There is a name above all names,
It's glory fills the land,
The name of Jesus is the greatest of all,
And on his name we can trust and stand.

His name has power to save and heal,
And set the captives free,
The name of Jesus can touch and change lives,
Because of his sacrifice on Calvary's tree.

His name is wonderful and to be praised
As we think on his glory and splendor,
He will reach down to the lost to bring them to the cross,
He gave his live to bring home one lost sinner.

He Drew Us Out

"He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out
of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and
established my goings."
.....Psalm 40: 2.

With cords of love he drew us out
And placed us on the Solid Rock,
We heard his voice so sweetly call,
And answered our Saviour's knock.

Our heart's door opened and let him in
To dwell in every room,
Our Lord who conquered death and the grave,
Changed our hearts to a temple from a tomb.

Once we were lost but now are found
Were blind but now we see,
And all because he came and died,
And arose in victory for you and me.

He is the Vine and we are the branches
We must abide in his love,
He will walk with us all along the way,
And one day take us to his home above.

Praise the Lord

"He is thy praise, and he is thy God, that hath done for thee these great and 
terrible things, which thine eyes have seen."
Deu. 10: 21

God is great and greatly to be praised,
The same today as when Israel departed Egypt's land,
He rolled the Red Sea back and defeated the enemy,
As his children crossed on dry ground and took their stand. 

He went before the Israelites and guided them both day and night
As they traveled on their way to the promised land of Canaan,
They had no reason to doubt or fear as He provided every need,
He led them and fed them daily with heaven's manna.

He will also lead us out of the wilderness of despair,
And set our feet on a solid Rock,
Every promise is ours to claim as he is always there,
He will hear our prayers if we ask, seek and knock.
We can worship and praise Him as his love we share.

"Praise the Lord for his mercy endureth forever".

His Name

"From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, 
the name of our Lord is to be praised." 
Psalm 113: 3.

His name is wonderful,
The name above all names,
His name has power and authority,
He is Lord of all who will never change.

He is Lord of Lords and Ruler of all,
Our Savior, Lord and King
On his name we can always call,
He gives reason for our heart to sing.

Praise the name of Jesus
As we worship and adore,
His name is worthy of all praise,
We will worship our Lord forevermore.
