      A  True Friend Is A Gift From God.

Jesus is not only our Lord and Saviour, but a Friend who sticketh closer than a brother.  He is always there for us and has promised to never leave or forsake us.  He is the best friend  we could ever have and his loving-kindness is new to us each day.  His compassions and mercies never fail us. 

This is a poem I wrote recently, simply entitled "Friends".

I hope you will enjoy it.  

                   Friends

Friends are like beautiful flowers

In  God's garden of life,

They help multiply all our joys,

And  ease sorrow, pain and strife.

They have been picked by the Master,

from His most fragrant bouquet,

And sent into our lives, 

to  help brighten up each new day.

A friend is one who loves you,

Regardless of  any  faults or failures,

One who will always encourage you,

And point you to the Saviour.

Friends look for what is in the heart,

Not to the outward appearance,

They always share in your joys,

And in sadness give assurance.

The value of a friend,

Cannot be weighed on life's scales,

As only God can search a heart,

Showing the love that it reveals.

When one sows seeds of kindness,

They will reap a harvest of love.

Friends always sow into our hearts,

And God waters the seed with love from above.

It matters not if Friends sometimes disagree,

Each were differently wrought by the Master's hand

And the things in this life which may cause parting of ways,

We know that in Heaven, we will  be united and understand.

As we travel life's paths to our home up above,

Friends will come in our life and friends may go,

But there will always be someone , on whom you can depend,

Because God sent his promise, and Jesus we can know.

Jesus is our  very best Friend,

Leading us every step of the way,

He is the Word, a  precious  lamp unto our feet,

A  guiding light unto our paths, each new day.

My friend if you don't know Jesus , as you walk through this earth,

There is something missing in your life and  heart.

Stand still,  listen, hear the knock on your heart's door,

Open it , let Him in, He will give your life a brand new start.

Stay close to His Word, let it speak to your life,

His word will lead you in paths of  love and what is right,

Just the mention of His holy name, and He is at your side,

He will hear you and answer;  to give you the true light.

Treasure each new day dawning,

A precious gift  sent to you from above,

And each friend that crosses life's path;

Cherish them, for  a true friend can be seen as,

"A reflection of God's love".
