   God's Creation

For everything there is a season
And a time for everything,
As Summer ends and Autumn begins,
We see the beauty that it brings.

God paints a picture on the canvas of earth
And gives us a sign that a new season is near,
The birds fly south as cool breezes blow,
They know 'Ole Man Winter' is almost here.

Little children play with glee
As they delight in the Autumn scenes,
In mounds of red, orange and brown,
Brisk breezes have scattered all across the ground.

No one can create such wondrous beauty,
As the Master Architect looking on from above,
And no one but He can change a heart of sin,
And fill it with God's wonderful love.

May this be the time and Season
For hearts that are lost to shed all sin,
And be covered with our Lord's precious blood,
Shed for all men to become his child and friend.

God's Creation Of Changes

This is one of my favorite times of the year as we look around and see the handiwork of our Lord.
Only God can paint a picture on the canvas of this earth with the beautiful golden hues
of Autumn. As we see the red, orange, brown, gold and other multicolored leaves
displayed by the mighty oak tree and other trees in the fall of the year, we know God is painting us
a picture of the beauty of creation and changes which only He can make.

Man cannot capture the splendor which we see when we look upon the changing scenery of Autumn.
The beautiful colors signal to us that Summer is ending and a new Season is being ushered in for us
to enjoy. The cool breezes that sweep through the branches of the oak tree removes the leaves and
spreads them across our yards in a blanket of color. Although most of us do not like
gathering the fallen leaves, the children delight in playing in Mother Nature's
display of the changing season.

When we look at a mighty oak tree which has been standing for many years, we see a picture
of perseverance. The tree branches may bend with the winds and sway in the breeze, but the
tree itself stands strong in every Season. We also see a display from Season to Season as the
leaves turn from green to gold and begin to fall to the ground. In just a short time, the tree will be
barren and covered with a glaze of ice or frosty mounds of snow as it awaits spring to arrive once
more. For everything there is a season and in this season the trees once again display the work
of the creator. Even though the tree sheds its leaves, it still stands strong where it was planted.

As God looks upon his Children there is also a season of pruning that we might produce and be fruitful.
May we also be like the tall oak tree and stand strong during seasons of pruning. As the
Lord removes things from our life that would hinder our being productive, we can welcome his
presence and work in our life. He has also taken our heart which was marred by sin and by his
crimson blood washed our sins and made us white as snow. He will continually guide us and just
as fruitful trees have care, God will care for us also as branches of the Vine, Christ Jesus.

As we look at the changes this season brings, may we be reminded that we are constantly changing,
if we allow God to be Lord of our life. We are to grow in grace and become more like Christ as
we lean upon Jesus. He alone can change a life and make it a brand new creation of
beauty and grace for his glory. He is still working in our lives and each season is one that
should draw us closer to Him. Thanks to our Lord that He is a God of every season
and there is no shadow of turning in Him. May he be glorified today and forever as we are
called to bless the Lord together as servants of our Great King.

Blessings in Christ,
