Many people wonder how they can be of good cheer when they are facing the many problems of life. Many are sick, have financial difficulties, family problems or other difficulties.  Jesus has told us there would be tribulation in this world but we are still to be of good cheer and keep a good attitude. He has overcome the world which is the reason we can have joy in our lives.
                        
Our Lord sums up all he has told his Disciples with these words when he told them to take courage in spite of the inevitable struggles they would face. Real difficulty is opposition by the world to the Gospel and persecution which results from opposition.  Christians are never alone, and Christ has already won the ultimate victory. We can have joy even in the midst of any problems that may be in our lives. 
                        
Happiness is a state of mind which is not dependant on the circumstances around us, but on who lives within our hearts and has everything under control. In our weakness. He is our strength and will help us through every problem. His extra grace is always there for us and his Spirit is a Comfort to us at all times.  His joy is our strength and we can rejoice in the God of our salvation despite what may be happening in the world or our lives. Jesus is Lord and is still in control of all things.
                              
May we see the words of Jesus which were spoken to his disciples are still for us today.  As we are told, the only real peace which we have is found in the Lord Jesus Christ. His peace is not as the world offers, and will keep us in times of trouble or tribulation. There is no other peace like the peace of the Lord.  Thanks to the Lord for sending us the Comforter to abide with us forever.
