Our
Source of Help
In
this life we go through problems.
We
all have sickness, woes,
and cares.
But
we have Jesus beside us;
And
every burden He always shares.
There
is no other Sister or Brother
Who
can bring an answer to our
prayers.
There
is no friend who will be there
till the end,
Or
no one but He....who can dry all
our tears.
He
is our Help in time of need or
trouble.
Our
Provider and with his manna he
does feed.
He
is our Healer, Protector
and Elder Brother;
He
will supply our every need.
Do
you have a need?
There
is a source of help.
Jesus
stands ready to meet you at his
throne,
If
his word you just believe and
accept.
"The
Throne of grace is where we
obtain mercy
and find
grace to help in time of
need."

Recognizing
Our Source Of Help
In
this day and age when a
Christian needs help, they
sometimes turn to
everyone
else before turning to the
Lord. It is good to have
others who are willing
to
help, but we must depend on
the Lord as our source of help
and recognize that
this
is where our help comes from
in all things.
Chapter
121 of the Psalms is called
the Seventh Psalm of God and
is a song of
degrees.
God's help is proclaimed and
there is a tenfold promise of
help from
God
found within the verses.
The previous Psalm dealt with
trouble and
distress
but we see this one dealing
with trusting God for help in
time of trouble.
God's
tabernacle at the time this
was written was on the
mountain of Jerusalem,
and
so it will be forever
according to Isa. 2: 1-4 and
Ezekiel 43: 7.
Zion is the
Holy hill of the Lord and his
government shall be
established in righteousness
forever.
A hill is symbolic of a high
place and also means
"promotion" in
Hebrew meaning
or exalted as lifted up.
Christ is exalted and in Him
is a place of safety,
as
we can be secure even in the
troubles and trials of this
life.
We
see ten blessings of God in
this chapter as one lifts
up their eyes to
the
Lord who is their source of
help as declared.
As David stated, our help
also
comes from our Lord who made
heaven and earth. He
will not suffer our
foot
to be moved and he that keeps
us will not slumber nor sleep.
He is our keeper
and
the shade upon thy right hand.
The sun will not smite us by
day nor the moon
by
night. He shall preserve
us from all evil and will
preserve or keep our souls
if
we abide and trust in Him.
He promises also to preserve
us in travel forever,
in
our coming in and going out.
When
we have needs in our life
which cannot be solved without
help, we need
to
look first of all to the Lord.
He is our helper and always
stands ready to
hear
and supply all our needs
according to his riches in
glory. He is the
problem-solver
and there is nothing too
difficult for him to do.
There is nothing
impossible
with our God. If we just
believe we will see it is true
that all things
are
possible with God.
Lifting up our eyes to the
hills represents fixing our
eyes on
the One whom we know can make
a difference in every
situation. He saves,
heals,
delivers, and sets free.
When one comes to him.
He continues to work in
their
life and will always be with
them. If he created the
heavens and earth with
all
their splendor; we know he can
change any circumstance or
situation in an
answer
to our prayers. He
creates new life and hope.
Let
us exalt Him as he is worthy
of all praise. We are to
see him as "high and
lifted
up" and as a God who is
able to do whatsoever He has
promised.
Recognizing
our source of help is the
first step to victory as we
see through
eyes
of faith the answer to our
prayers is possible by his
Spirit.
Blessings
in Christ,
