                                       Kindness

"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one
another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Ephesians 4: 32.

Kindness is an attribute of Jesus.  He has a tender heart toward
us and has shown his loving kindness and forgiveness to us. Although he is a 'Merciful God' to all creation, so many do not recognize our Lord's care for them.  Enduring the cruel cross of Calvary could only have been accomplished by the perfect Lamb of God, who had a perfect love for all the World.

Because of the Lords grace shown unto us, we are also to show mercy and forgiveness one to another.  We are to do unto others as we would want them to do unto us.   This world would be a much better place if everyone treated others as they wished to be treated.  Can we imagine how pleased our Lord would be if He saw 'love in action' throughout all his Churches, as in Ephesians 4:32?   If all the Body of Christ confessed their faults to God and made reconciliation  one with another as admonished, we would see true revival across this land.
There would be a true desire to reach out in compassion to a lost and dying world.   Our Nation would be a better place if love for God  and fellow man were first priorities.

The early Church Fathers sang the old hymn, "Revive Us Again."  The words to this song say, "fill each heart with thy love, let each soul be rekindled with fire from above." God's fire from above is freely given, but must be received.  It is a purifying fire which burns out the dross of sin and self, and replaces it with the zeal and burden of the Lord.   True fire of the Lord is not just a 'moment's emotion' but is a 'lasting devotion' to God.  His fire results in permanent changes in lives and hearts.  When we walk the steps of faith as Jesus walked and instructed us, we will never be the same again. Revival is a stirring within the heart by His spirit.  It is a refreshing which will  bring zeal and love for the holy things that be of God and his plan for mankind.

Kindness comes from a humble heart and extends mercy unto another.  When we consider the loving kindness of Jesus, it should make us desire to be more like Him.  It all begins with an attitude of gratitude to our Lord for our redemption and for
the price he paid for us.  Even when we have failed him, he has never failed us.  With his arm of love he drew us back to Him and established our steps in his paths of righteousness.

When we see sinners and hurting people in need of a Savior, may the Lord burden our hearts that we might be able to make a difference.  As Jesus has made a difference in our lives, we are to help make a difference in others by showing his love and
proclaiming his mercy to them.  His loving kindness really is better than life.  May we bless his name and offer thanksgiving to the 'Most High God'.

Blessings in Christ,

                                     Kindness
Kindness is an attitude that has a lot of grace
His loving kindness has been shown to every tribe and race,
God has shown his love to us and his mercies to behold,
His forgiveness is the greatest story that has ever been told.

As we see a wayward sinner....... in need of one to care
May we point the way to Jesus as his love we daily share,
There are many who are dying with no hope of eternal life,
He has given us words of truth to help end all sin and strife.

Forgiving others frees the soul as Jesus reaches deep within,
His mercy is to "whosoever will"....he is our dearest friend.
As we try a little kindness each day along life's way,
We know our Lord will say 'well done', and hear us as we pray.

"Be ye kind one to another."
