                          Keep Leaning On Jesus

The question in the above Scripture is, "whom shall I fear?"
God is our light and salvation and without him we would have no strength in our lives.  There are so many people who live a life of fear and doubt.  Each one of will have fear at times,
but if we are built on the Rock, Christ Jesus, we will know "faith is greater than fear" and fear has to flee at the name of Jesus.  The only fear which should be a part of our lives is an "awe" of reverence for the Lord.

This fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.  All other fear destroys lives as it is not of God.  Fear has been described by some as 'false expectations appearing real.'   This is an accurate description of the word fear.  If there is something ahead you do not know the outcome of, it can cause you to worry, fret or be anxious.  If a person will only look to God and realize He is the strength of their life, they can also say as the Psalmist David,
"of whom shall I be afraid?"  God will give us a mind established in Him of peace, joy and love.  Most of the things people fret or worry about never come to pass.  If fear knocks on our heart's door, send faith to answer and fear has to flee.

There is nothing in the past, present or future of which God is unaware.  He always has the best interests of his Children in mind.  He will always work all things out for good, if we love Him and have been called according to his purpose.  When we hear the  Word, study to show ourselves approved, and hide his truths in our hearts, God will arise in times of fear or doubt and scatter his enemies.  Being in fellowship with the Lord will keep us in perfect peace as our minds are stayed on Him.

Thanks be unto the Lord for he is the one who takes all our cares, calms all our fears, and can make all our doubts disappear.  He is the only one who can make the way straight as He speaks peace in the midst of the storms.  Because He is truth and life, we can walk in truth and be free.  Let us pray one for another and seek to be established in faith and love.  May we have a child-like faith that trusts in our Father at all times.  He will always be there for us and will renew our strength as we
wait upon Him.  Keep leaning on Jesus!  If the world seems to let you down at times, remember that Jesus will always hold you up.  You can stand firm on Christ the Solid Rock. He that has promised to always be with us is always faithful and true!

Blessings in Christ,

                                      Faith

Faith in the midst of life's problems
Knowing that Jesus has everything in his hands
Strengthened by the joy of our salvation,
With Christ as our Lord we shall stand.

Why should we be dismayed or worry
When Jesus walks close by our side,
No matter what happens around us
In Him we shall always abide.

Cast all your cares upon Him,
For he careth for you as his own,
Know that with Christ you are safe from all harm,
Until the day he calls you to his heavenly home.
