Beginning of Wisdom

"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom:
a good understanding have all they that do his
commands. His praise endureth forever."
Psalm 111: 10.

To fear the Lord is only the beginning
Of wisdom and power with our Lord,
Seeking him first in all our ways,
Brings the assurance of his reward.

Keeping his commands will help us stand
And He will be with us in all we do,
He is a God who dwells in our praises
And rewards faithfulness as he is so true.

We find favor and grace as we seek his face
And live according to his Holy Word,
His promises are forever as we run this race,
And his love is the greatest story ever heard.

TO KNOW HIM IS TO LOVE HIM

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord
thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind."

To know our Lord is to love Him
And serve him with all our heart
In his presence there is joy,
And he gives life a brand new start.

His wisdom is higher than the heavens
As deep as the ocean depth,
He is our Rock and Fortress,
And when in need he is our Help.

Each day we seek to fellowship 
And enter into his holy presence,
He meets us when we draw nigh,
And worship him in reverence.

There is no other like our Lord
No other God but He,
Our Lord will be with us forever,
And only in Christ are we made free.

Living by Faith

"And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God."
Mark 11: 22.

Keep pressing on and never draw back
By faith we can see the prize,
We know our Lord is working in our behalf,
And feel his spirit in every sunrise.

We are closer home than ever before
Each day dawning brings new hope and light,
God is good and his mercy endures forever,
He will go before us as we fight a good fight.

Faith is believing even when we cannot see
And knowing all things work for good,
He will reward us for enduring until the end,
And holding on like we know we should.

Each child of God is secure in the Lord,
If they obey and walk in his will,
Jesus will be with us and see us through,
He still saves, delivers and heals.

Workers For The Lord

"...Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields,
for they are white already to harvest."
John 4: 35

We are workers of the Kingdom
In the Master's vineyard across this land,
The fields are white unto harvest,
And by faith we go forth and stand.

Many souls are in the fields 
Who need to hear the plan of God,
And many are perishing each day,
Across this land where his army trods.

The Spirit calls unto the lost 
And bids them come to the Savior,
And as we sow Gospel seeds by faith,
He waters and gives grace and favor.

Each day is a challenge as lives are in the balance
And witnesses for the Lord share his love and grace,
He will reward the faithful as they his burden share,
And one day call home his children of every tribe and race.

Redeeming the Time

Many souls are sleeping,
Unaware of the time,
Slowly slipping into darkness,
Without hope or peace of mind.

We must redeem each moment
And walk in his glorious light,
There are many souls who are perishing,
Without vision or true sight.

With the dawning of the morning
There is work that must be done,
And we can share God's great love,
From sunrise and through the setting sun.

One must have a desire to rise
And follow the light to hope and help,
There is a vision to pursue,
And we go forth within God's grip.

"Within the grip of grace we have hope and peace."
